General Motors Discounts???

My Dh just started work at GM and we heard that you can get Disney tickets at a discount for GM employees. Does anyone know anything about this? What the discount is? Thanks.

Hello Brooklin and WELCOME!

Yes you can get discounts. Apparently, you have to go thru the offices in Michigan to get the information. My dad is retired and I called the retirees office in Oshawa and they don't have any info on it.
When I worked for EDS, all I had to do was show my id at the gates at MK to get a discount off the daily admission.
If you pm me your email address I will send you the "old" discount documents that someone else here emailed to me that worked for GM in Michigan.
It might work out the new tickets are a better discount.

Hi and welcome. GM used to give employees the discount card which was good for 5% off at the gate but they stopped this a few years ago. Your best bet is the advance purchase price through Disney or one of the ticket brokers. The one huge plus for a Gm employee is at Test track. You enter trough the steel door that is to the right of the line up. At the end of the hall is an elevator with a monitor. Someone will come on and ask you to hold your I.D. up. This elevator takes you to a private lounge where coffee and soft drinks are free, washrooms, and a great view of Space ship earth. When you are ready to ride TT they send you down the back way and right on the ride. This is open Monday to Friday 9-5. We love this perk.
