Morning all. Hope your all ok.

I am feeling really stressed & restless today. My mum rang first thing this morning to say she & my sister were taking my dad to a&e as he is not well (all related to a stomach ulcer and other problems he has). They told me to wait & they would let me know what's happening when they got there, so three hours later & my sister just called to say that they have admitted my dad to the day ward for tests & x rays etc but she is going home as due to swine flu they are only letting one person stay with each patient (my mum).

I just feel useless sat here waiting to here what is going on as in the past I have been there with them.

We have just heard that he has been moved to a proper ward (still only one visitor) & they have put him on a drip. They have taken several blood tests, done some x rays, his blood pressure is very high. Probably won't hear anything for a few hours now until the doctor has been to see him.

Hey Karen. How are you? How was Spain? I bet you have missed the doggies!

Not too sure what is happening this morning with my dad, I went to see him last night & he was ok, very tired. They had him on two drips (one for dehydration & one pain relief) & they were going to put a needle thingy in this other arm so it was ready as a precaution because they think he may need a blood transfusion. This morning he is due to have an Endoscopy (camera down the throat into the stomach) he was booked in for midday so we are waiting for a while before calling as they won't be able to tell us much yet.

I'm going back to uni next month,.

I can't talk to people though to make friends and it gets me down at times and I can't change. I feel like a hermit.

I find it hard to talk to people/make friends aswell. It was one of the reasons I started doing agency work, and although i'll never be a social butterfly I can 'get by' much better than I used to in work situations.
FWIW, from reading your posts on here i've always thought we'd get on well in 'real life'
