We'll be making a reservation for Napa Rose for our arrival night (this one we really care about) but would like to be flexible about our day in DLP- the second Monday in June. I know we wouldn't be able to get into Blue Bayou, but would there be a chance of a walk-up at Cafe Orleans/Carnation Cafe/etc? If not we'd be fine with CS, but I wanted to know whether it'd be worth checking if we were in the mood for a sit-down lunch or dinner.

It depends really on when you're going. If you're going peak season I highly recommend PS's. If not you can be a bit more flexible. Even for BB, when we last January (the last weekend) we walked right into BB and got seated. :) The weather wasn't great so that's probably why but we were OK with the rain that was falling. :)

I'm hoping a Monday in early June shouldn't be too terrible crowd-wise.

Basically, since we only have one day in the park, I don't want to commit any of our time to a PS. Plus, we'll have had a big dinner the night before at Napa Rose, so we may only feel like CS. But, if we're making good progress in the park and want a slower meal, we may try to walk in for a bite.

I just took a trip to WDW this past august where we were on the dining plan, and while it was nice for a week-long trip, I think worrying about dinner reservations during a one-day trip would be a bit much, if that makes sense.
