genealogy- Family History Centers

I was wondering if anyone has ever used any of the family history centers that the church of LDS has? I was thinking about going to visit one near me and I wondered if you found it helpful. I checked out their library catalog and there are some records that I want to look up for some towns in Quebec. Are all of these on microfilm, or are they books? Microfilm is not my favorite to use, but I'll gladly do it to get the information I want.

Genealogy has long been a hobby of mine and I have visited a Family History Library. It was several years ago. I had to order the microfilms, but it was pretty inexpensive. I found the staff volunteers helpful and very willing. I think its well worth a visit___good luck on your tree! another sue
