Gel pens question?

Last year I bought a ton of gel pens - from inexpensive all the way up to the top of the line.. I barely used them - and some I didn't use at all - and now I find they have "dried" up or are skipping like crazy.. I always made sure they were tightly capped, so I don't understand what the problem is..

I'll be moving this spring and I'm trying to figure out what to do with them.. Can they be "revived" - or should I pitch them?

Thanks!

I have read that it is best to store pens lying down rather than standing up and I haven't had a problem with them drying up.

Yep I was going to say the same thing. Try putting them flat for a few days and see if that helps...

They've been stored lying down.. :(

Thanks anyhow though!

It probably wouldn't do any good to briefly heat the end like with a ballpoint pen, right?

I'm so disappointed - all that money out the window..

I hate gel pens just for that reason I never got them to work right.

you could make a cute picture frame from the gel pens. Just buy (or make out of card board) a square picture frame with even sides. hot glue the pens with the cap sides (the clip part) up. example: place pens on one side of frame like this_, then like this ], then like this -, then like this [. then place a picture in it. It's a cute idea for a girl scout project or group activity. hope this helps!
