Geico Car Insurance

I received a quote that could save me approx $380 every six months on my car insurance from Geico. I would like some feedback from anyone that has had any experience with this company. Thanks for the help!

I work for an independent insurance agency and we are losing a ton of business to them. I went online to do a price quote and there rates are very compeitive. However, it would not allow me to quote the higher limits of liability we give our clients. Just make sure you are quoting the same coverages. My brother (who's also in the insurance business) has had them for the past 34 years with no complaints.

Even if Geico offered me auto insurance for next to nothing I would still not use their company. We had Geico for three years and DH had an accident (not his fault) and it was a nightmare. I would NEVER, EVER, EVER use Geico ever again.

We've had Geico for a few years and we've been very pleased. DD had an accident last year and they took care of it, no problem.

The only thing that makes DH crazy is when we have a change, such as when the kids went to college and didn't bring the car with them. That lowers the rate a bit. It always seems to take a few calls to get it straightened out.

My sis has Geico, and she is quite pleased. We can't get it in MA, but I'm switching as soon as we're in FL permanently.

Been with Geico for about 17 years, give or take a little. DH had an accident that he was at fault in about 5 years ago. The accident stuff was handled efficiently and we had no problems.

We've not had any issues with them at all.

And I love that I can charge the insurance premiums to our credit card. (yes - we do pay it off every month!) We love getting the credit card rewards for soemthing that has to be purchased anyways.

We've had them for 2 years not and haven't had a problem, but we haven't had any accidents either (knock on wook). Switching to Geico saved us around $600.00 every 6 months.

Geico is GREAT!! Someone hit my parked car while I was grocery shopping last year and did about $1500.00 worth of damage. Geico handled everything wonderfully. We save quite a bit of money using them.

I have had GEICO for years. My parents had it back when it really was just for government employees, and I went with them when I got my own insurance as it was considered a renewal rather than a new policy. Every claim I have had has been settled promptly, no problems- they have even covered a stolen after-market stereo TWICE! And I love their website and the fact That I don't need an agent and can handle it all myself.

I had to take Geico to court over an accident that one of their clients caused. Geico did not want to pay for my damages. I proved them wrong! I swore I would NEVER use them even if they were the last insurance company left on the planet! I moved to Italy this year and only had the choice between them and USAA. Guess who my insurance company is?

Thanks for all the responses. I guess this is going to be a hard call to make. I sit on the fence and worry, while my husband is ready to jump feet first.
