Geez! Teenagers! LOL

So I'm sitting here reading DISboards posts and listening to DISradio when my 15 year old walks by and gives me that look that only teenagers can give. I say "I know I'm a geek". And she says "At least you admit it".

I feel your pain. I have a 12 and 11 year old, and just about everything I do is "so lame Mom!"

I had a cute moment in the car this evening with my DS, who will turn 13 three weeks from today. My baby!

He was talking about songs that he wants to download for his iPod and said something like, "there aren't any good songs like in the good old days," I said, "my music?" and he said, "yeah, I guess your taste doesn't suck." I don't suck (yet)!

i guess i'm blessed.... my 15 ( soon to be 16 yr old daughter ) visits the dis boards often. I play VMK with all 4 of my kids ages 11 - 15. I THINK i haven't gone " lame " yet. It gives us something fun to talk about.

I have 3 teens, (almost) 17, 15 and 13. And oh yes, I have heard "lame" and "suck" comments associated with me and my tastes..as well as being called "The Mominator" and the meanest mother in the UNIVERSE.

But I also get hugs, kisses and thank you's, so it balances out

I'm 18 and I am the lame one in the family. I am the one obsessed with Disney and on here all the time. Plus I have never called my parents lame. I think my sister did a couple times but she's only 13. Gosh young teenagers.

Just yesterday I downloaded a Christina Aguilera song on to my cell phone. When DS(14) heard it he told me that I was too "old" to have that ringtone (I am 40)! It seems like just yesterday that I was the "young", "cool" one. Time goes too fast!

I've got a 17 year old son & a 13 yo daughter, and wow! what a ride! I've worked out a fair deal at home: my kids have to listen to my Disney music, and I'll let my son make a movie for film class entitled: "Black Metal Mom" in which his friends made me up to look like a suburban KISS mom.

Its all about balance, is it not?
