Who was calling for that??? We were all running around like idiots on Friday because of Ernesto (which was admittedly not too pleasant) but I swear the rain is MUCH worse today!!

Wow, after dropping my DD off at the bus stop, it took me another hour-and-a-half to get to work in non-stop, torrential downpour. And it's still pouring. Where did this come from???

I'm considering building an ark if you and the kids want to come over...

I walked into work with soaked pants from the knee down. I've got my shoes off now so my feet and shoes can dry. What a mess!

At least it's not as windy as it was Friday afternoon/evening, but I agree that the rain part is worse. I heard on the tv this morning that from Washington DC and points north, there could be 3-5 inches of rain by tomorrow morning. UGH! And I was going to go do a couple errands this morning. Can't do them tomorrow since we're having a mattress delivered. But between the rain, lack of sleep, and my head hurting, I'm not so sure if I'm going anywhere.

The *only* reason it's raining is because today is the first day of school.

You'll notice that the rain got heavy around the time highschool kids are at their bus stops, then let up for a bit than started getting heavy *again* when the Middle School kids are getting to school, then started up AGAIN with the grade schools' day starting.
I swear it's some kind of cosmic joke ;) .

This is much heavier than Ernesto's leftovers.

agnes!

Oh, did I notice. I had to drive DD to her bus stop (it is several miles from our house) and as I was sitting in the parking lot I could barely see 5 feet in front of me. My DD was drenched from the short trip from the car to the bus. Then I was trying to make my way to the I-95, it was all I could do (or anyone else) to maintain our lanes--it was raining THAT hard (around 6:15 a.m.). It proceeded to do that for my whole trip into town.

Ugh I know! Of course, today is trash pickup day, and the big trash bag we had from cleaning out the bedroom exploded on the front steps, leaving me to stand outside in the pouring rain for 15 minutes cleaning up wet garbage.... what a great morning, lol!

Here in Miami since yesterday. :confused3 Didn't get this much rain with Ernesto, and now there is another storm brewing out there, oh joy. :sad2:
