Geez I feel deflated!

I know I shouldn't let these things get to me but I was in a trade room and this girl who claimed she was poor and (she might have been), well anyway I gave her crown and blue princess skirt and she seemed happy. Well after I get out of the trade, the next thing I see is her offering to trade her crown away. I thought geez, you could at least wait until I left the room. It just seems no one appreciates things anymore. I suppose she can do what she wants with it now but it would have been nice for her not to offer it away in trade so quickly.

It just sounds like a player trying to "cheat". Ask for free, then turn around to make a profit. It's not that your action was not appreciated: it's that you were taken advantage of.

Personally, I would never give anything to people who ask for free stuff. You gift things to people who need it, but don't ask.

Hey! I've been in similar situations, both when I was a newbie and even as recent as this past December. You think I would have learned my lesson, but...well...
Try not to let people like that get you down, there will always be some. Hopefully, it wasn't your only tiara? I only gift things I have more than one of, so I don't feel so bad when I realize I was taken for a ride.

Yeah it's too bad we can't tell who is honest and appreciative from those that aren't. Having a kid of my own I spend a lot of my time trying to get her things in the game to make her happy because I know she can't earn credits very well, so I want to do that same thing for other kids too that are on VMK playing because I know how hard it is for some of them to earn credits and acquire things. I just want them to be appreciative though when they are given something. I know these are just virtual items but still....and I know there are a lot of good kids out there but lately it seems like the ones I'm coming across have been otherwise.

Thankfully it wasn't my only tiara but it was my only spare blue princess skirt but no biggie since I have one for myself and daughter. You can't wear more than one...lol. I'm just bothered because I don't think she appreciated it. I know it's crazy to feel this way.

I'm really sorry that happened to you. I know it's incredibly frustrating as I've had it happen myself. It's sad that we have to "screen" people before we give gifts of kindness but unfortunately, it seems that is our only course of action. It's nice to know there are people willing to give like yourself, though!

P.S. Don't feel bad about being attached to virutal items. If someone dares come between me and my magic pins.. whoa boy.. they better look out

Like I think it was said I would recommend doing a more random gifting to someone who isn't asking for it. Those who sit and beg for free stuff to me usually are the ones who do not appreciate such generous gifts and they keep begging to avoid doing any work on their own. If I find guests or what seems to be a fairly new player I can tell is having a difficult time either earning credits or catching on to things I have gifted items to them to help them get started in addition to trying to teach how to earn their own stuff.

Don't let it get you too down, but just maybe be a bit more choosy of who you gift to

Someone was being treated mean by this girl and they were offering all there buyable pins for a fireworks magic I gave them the magic then later on they said give me a snowman magic or I report you! So I delete them

I am so sorry that happened to you! If it makes you feel any better, my DD still remembers you gave her some items when she "lost" all her stuff and is truly appreciative for that you did that for her. Just remember, you did something good, and it will come back to you!!

I just wanted to give my .02 I do think that random acts of kindness are the most wonderful thing ever and please do not stop. However, I do agree that giving free to those that ask is not something that I do. I like to "reward" people that I see doing kind things to others.

I just want you to know that there are people out there who do appreciate those things and I think what you were trying to do was VERY sweet!
