Geen Yight - She's Out of Sight: A Trip of Leaps and Bounds

Ahhh the Jungle Cruise, classic Disney. I like to ride that one at night too, it has a totally different feel...kind of creepy actually.

Happy Weekend ladies! :goodvibes

You are a plethora of Disney information. You have found the right place to hang out and help people. :thumbsup2

Can you say OCD??? :rotfl2: I learned most of it here and mostly from you. :goodvibes I keep everything I see about Disney in a special place in my brain.
I will admit - Skull rock - news to me. Put in that special place for next time. :goodvibes

She was lucky that her finger was so tiny, I think. Even at that, it was so flat where the chain was that I thought they were going to have to cut it off. I'm not one to panic or over-dramatize, but it looked really gross.
I must have missed the post about this. Poor baby. I am glad the top of finger is looking better and gets to stay on Bella.

I hate that his fever got so high, but I am glad the doctors are right on everything now. Bronchiolitis affects a different part of the bronchi, like maybe the bronchioles. It's some little technicality to us, but doctors are specific about things, of course. My co-teacher's granddaughter has had it, and she got a high fever, too.
We will all pray for him to be feeling better quickly! :yay:

 for Hunter and Keeley too. So hard to be a first time mom and deal with such illness.

You think these guys will ever get the point? :rotfl:

If they don't get it at first, they will surely get it in the end. :rotfl2::rotfl2:

A CM saw me take that picture and told me to come and take a picture of the skull rock, too.
Smart CM. More Disney secrets to clog up my brain.

I remember from my KTTK tour that one of the natives on Jungle Cruise shouts, "I love disco!" just when you've nearly passed by. I always have to listen for it now!

I've never seen the skull rock on PotC! Definitely something to look for next time!

Sorry to hear your sweet girls were under the weather earlier this week. Are they all better now? Anita, I hope Hunter starts to feel better soon! So scary when our babies are sick!

I am so glad I was able to start my day with Fantasyland, "scary" Frontier Donald, and a Jungle Cruise!!! I have never ever seen Skull Rock -- how have I missed that for the past 35 years??? I hope it is a recent addition! :rotfl:

I'm glad Jill posted where you can find the skull rock cuz I was about to ask...what skull rock?? Didn't know it was there but now that I do...definitely going to get some pics with it!!!

I love the Jungle Cruise, I laugh like a loon each time cuz I can't resist a good corny joke!!!! Doesn't matter how many times I've heard it!!!

Hope you have a great weekend MeMom, I'm sure you are counting down!! This is our last week with kids and of course we only have 2 full days and 3 half days for finals!!! My students and I are ready to be DONE!!!! I'm going up to work today to run tutorials and clean up my room!! Needs to get done before May 31st so I can checkout and leave on my merry way!!!!!

I've never noticed the Jungle Cruise boats had names before. Haven't picked up on skull rock either. Good thing we are going back in August.

Love your jungle cruise pictures! I would be skipping the cruise too if I saw a spider that size. I already had my brave spider moment of the week. Took my class to the Children's Museum and they had a big tarantula. Yuck! But I looked at it and did run! ;)

Skull rock is a new one for me too! I will keep my eyes open for it in July.

Add me to the list of people who have never noticed Skull Rock! Crazy! That is awesome! I just wrote it down so I will remember to look for it!:thumbsup2 Thank you for sharing that! And for taking us with you on Jungle Cruise. I love that ride....my mother thinks the jokes are absolutely hysterical!! I love going on it with her! She doesn't remember that she's heard them before!

And unless they make a non-bird version of Flights of Wonder, I will never be seeing it, either! :rotfl:

:scared1: Me either!!

sunny_stace if I ever do decide to go on ToT...it would be fun to do it with a DIS friend. :goodvibes

Glad to hear the girls are all better, Lexi is too. :thumbsup2

That sounds like a Dis-meet to me!:goodvibes If you don't have a good time, I'll buy you a mickey bar afterwards!

Glad to hear Brooklyn, Bella and Lexi are feeling better!:goodvibes

I never really noticed the names of the boats on the Jungle Cruise...definitely will be more on the lookout this time!!!
Hope you all are having a wonderful Weekend!!! I get to recover from surgery I had yesterday, so catching up on the DIS is how I'm choosing to spend it!!

Ahh the Jungle Cruise. Always a riot for us. We usually end up being the only ones laughing at the skipper's jokes.

I've never seen that Skull Rock! Where exactly is it?

I love Jungle Cruise. Having an extra funny skipper makes it all that much better. I also was fortunate enough for the elephants not to spray me. ;) It's fun watching others' reactions, isn't it?

:grouphug: for baby Hunter....hope today is a better day! :grouphug:

Hold on sunny_stace I didn't agree to ride it yet...but we could meet up to get Mickey bars anyway.

What a lovely cruise, glad you didn't get soaked by the elephants! :rotfl2:

I always laugh at the corny jokes too!

Never noticed the skull rock before. :confused3
You stumbled upon something new for all of us to seek out...very neat! :thumbsup2

Maybe that should be a DISmeeting place for an upcoming trip! :goodvibes

I'm here at work on a break and I would rather be outside where the sun is shinning and it's perfect patio weather! :sunny:

Long weekend plus nice weather = no shoppers = one easy night at work! :woohoo:

Love the Jungle Cruise pictures. I haven't been on that ride in a while.

Add me to the list of people who haven't noticed the skull rock before. I'll be looking for it next trip.

How fun to cruise in the jungle with you. I remember my first "cruises" at Disneyland as a little kid, and I thought those animals were real! (Apparently, I was quite well-behaved, out of fear of falling or being tossed into the gaping maw of a hippo or croc. :rotfl:) Well, I eventually I figured that out, but I never got too sophisticated to enjoy those super-corny jokes. And what fun to find, several years ago, that my captain used some of the same spiel at Tokyo Disneyland! At least, the bits I could understand were the same. So cute and homey!

I can't wait to amaze Marc and Baylor with the tidbit of information about "skull rock" on our trip that is just around the corner!

The kids spent the night here with Hunter last night. They were up with him at 4:00 AM and off to minor emergency to have him suctioned out. Poor baby just can't breathe. The fever has broken and honestly he feels much better. Thanks for the thoughts and prayers!

Well I am a little embarrassed to say you got some pics of things I don't recall seeing. I don't remember a tarantula in a cage but it has been a while since I've been on a jungle cruise. And I don't know if I've seen skull rock either! I'm making a mental note to check both of those out next time.

Hope you have a great weekend!

Skull rock? Another new one on me. I'd love to go on a tour of WDW with the imagineers who planned the parks and have them point out all this kind of stuff that I overlook.

I have never seen skull rock either. Where is it located?

I've ridden Jungle Cruise multiple times, it's one of my favorite rides ever, and I STILL duck every time! I swear, the day I don't, those elephants are going to spray me!!

Hmmm I've never seen this skull rock either Love the Jungle Cruise and that it really hasn't changed since I was a little girl
October 15 is my arrival date too I always have an early am flight too so we will be zombiefied together
Tracy

I've never seen the skull rock either. Hmmm... That's definately on my to do list!

This is one of those times where I need to do a mass response and hope that you'll be okay with that. I have a busy day ahead, as I am putting on the finishing touches of our Great Piggy Bank Adventure. It will be held Monday and Tuesday afternoons in order to get all the second grade classes to it. Wednesday, we're having a McDonald's picnic. Thursday is Awards Day, and Friday is Field Day.

We went to Alabama yesterday to see Brooklynn's last soccer game. Those little girls have truly improved during this short season. They only got to play four games due to weather - especially the tornado. At first, they mostly just all ran behind whatever little girl on the other team that had the ball. By Game 4, they went after the ball themselves. :thumbsup2 They had fun and learned lessons about teamwork. I will give 'props' to John for his coaching job, too. John is not a kid person. He didn't grow up with kids all around, like my kids did, and quite frankly, kids pretty much get on his nerves very quickly for just being kids. Even his own. Jill and I were both a bit concerned about how he would do with this coaching pursuit. After the initial shock of the first week of practice and a game, he accepted the reality of what was 4-5 year old girls' soccer. He was patient and encouraging, and he did a good job. I think it was a good experience for everyone.

Brooklynn was promised (by a certain crazed member of the family) a prize if she would go after the ball and score a goal. This will not become a norm, but at four, it was just an incentive for her to go for the ball so that she would understand the concept of the game - that taking the ball from someone else, in yesterday's case, from a White Swan, was a good thing. I had given her a quarter after the first game, because she loves to put money in her bank. Somehow in her discussion with Trent, it was decided that she would get a meerkat if she scored a goal.

Maybe Trent didn't understand the power of the meerkat, but Brooklynn did score.
Not once.
Twice.
Only one counted, though, because the first one had gone out of bounds and then back in.
Still, she is due a meerkat.

We will be looking for Timon on our Disney Store trip next week, and if there is not one there, Trent will be making his first disneyshopping.com visit, or he'll be heading to the zoo for a generic meerkat. Jill has informed Brooklynn that her real meerkat will need to stay at the zoo with his buddies, but a plush friend can live in the house, if it is okay with the 1400 other plush friends that already abide there.

I took a few pictures of the damage done around Huntsville as we drove home from the game. I'll load those later today. It's still a mess in some areas.

We hope you all have a great Sunday! If I have time, I will get some more pictures up tonight. Maybe Jill can go back and put up some of the videos.

Six weeks from right now, we'll be at Pop Century, ready for our first full day of fun in the sun. :cool1:

The last game of the season always has a little bit of a bitter-sweet feeling for me. Glad alot of running around is over with, but don't really want it to end either, cause that means next season they're 1 year older! Congratulations on scoring those goals, Brooklyn! Even if one of them didn't count!

If Brooklyn is anything like my Emma, she will be dwelling on that meerkat until it shows up in her arms. Emma has an amazing little memory when it comes to something that is "due" her :) somehow, she tends to forget when it's things like making her bed in the morning though :cutie:

I saw the meerkat prize mentioned on FB and thought he meant a REAL one! A plush should be easier to manage. :rotfl: Good for Brooklyn scoring two goals! :cheer2:

I'm guessing six weeks should fly right by! :)

Congrats to Brooklynn!! What an awesome job :)

Is this your last week of school? Good luck finishing up everything :goodvibes
