although, if I did, I wouldn't waste it on a message board.

I'm amazed at the number of posts some people make on these boards. I'm lucky if I can get in a half hour of reading every couple of days. I figured out the numbers for one poster and for over five years that poster has written an average of 12 posts a day - that's nuts! That's an average of at least one hour a day spent writing - never mind how much time is spent reading - I just don't get it. Who the heck has that kind of time? And, most of the posts are the same thing over and over.

Anyway - I love the disboards, but golly gee whiz - I just can't imagine having that kind of free time and spending it all online. I have so many friends and family that keep me busy all the time - I guess, if I were alone - I don't know. Seems really sad to spend all one's time on a computer with strangers. But, I guess, to each his own. :confused3

popcorn:: popcorn::
It seems sad you would care?

But you're taking the time to point out you don't take the time to post? :confused3

Please pass some of that. I'll bring the drinks.

I babysit my grandkids 5-6 days a week. The conversation of a sleeping infant isn't very exciting. Enough said.

Some people don't leave the office on their lunch break. They spend it surfing the net while eating their sandwich.

Some people surf the net from their cell phones while they're on the bus on their way to work, or during halftime of their kids football game, or even while waiting in line at McDonalds.

Some people send their kids to bed and instead of vegging in front of the TV, they prefer a little human interaction.

There are lots of reasons people come here, whether it's to read or reply. And there are lots of reasons people don't come here. It's not for any of us to judge them, we don't know their stories.

Obviously you do have the time since you posted this nonsense thread.

i post while anthony eats not much else i can get done then... its this or tv

ETA I have 6.42 posts per day. A lot of those were made during the last months of my pregnancy when I was sleeping about 2 hours a night.. I really had nothing else to do at 4am... Nix that.. there wasn't anything else I wanted to do at 4am besides sleep.

I've always found it's a better use of my time worrying about my life and leave others to do the same. Who am I to judge? I mean, I wear mammoth crocs with capri pants...I'm probably not qualified to judge anyone else.

I've got plenty of time to DIS and have a life as well. Sometimes a post is lengthy. Sometimes it's just a smiley. So 12 posts a day isn't really all that much. My average is 16 per day.

DH is deployed/on duty/underway/,etc many days a year. My time after 8 pm is pretty free and I like to watch the Office and surf the net. :) My house chores are done...I'm allowed. ;)

Your post did come across as a bit judgemental, even if you didn't mean it that way.

Keep in mind that there are also people on the DIS who are disabled, or ill and often housebound.

Like everything in life, it comes down to people doing what works for them. There are as many ways to spend your time as there are people in the world. It's everyone's choice to do what they will with that time.

Well not to be rude and all but since you actually had the time to check how much somebody posts and do the math to figure out how many per day etc., then post about it, I tend to question just how little time you really have. You know, between your friends etc. and all. Just saying.......

:rotfl: :rotfl:

ETA: Just increase my post count, in case anyone is keeping track.

:lmao: Thanks for a great laugh!

PS I think that Mammoth Crocs make cold weather tolerable! Who ever invented those shoes deserves a Nobel Prize!

That's funny, because my life is so full and exciting that I have no time to calculate random people's posts on a message board and actually care how often someone has posted. THAT seems really sad. :lmao: :rotfl:

Yes -your life is wonderful -we are all losers.
Do you feel better now?
