GCV reservation likelihood at 7 mos?

Due to an extreme, albeit cool change in plans, we will be going to Disneyland next June (we bought APs) Our 7 month mark is in just a few weeks and I am wondering if there is any history regarding booking at GCV without the home resort priority? We are going with friends and debating between getting 2 studios or a 2 bedroom. We took a VERY last minute trip to Disneyland last week and the only availability they had was a one bedroom for 1 of the nights and a 2 bedroom for all 3 nights- granted I called less than a week before we were leaving.

I bet earlier in June will be better than later, as schools let out at different times and it takes a while for folks to get their acts together for summer vacation. Until GCV sells out, you might have a shot. Failing that, also check the points for DLH - it seems comparable to a studio. Of course those become reservation points, so if you cancel you can't use them for dvc.

I also noticed you can't get regular GC room on points anymore! That's a shame - we did GC concierge on points at Thanksgiving a couple years ago and it was great!

We found booking at GVC really easy.

We got days over Christamas booked 4 months out.

We also booked a week in Feb and a week over spring break all within the 7month period.

My guess is that with this being such a small resort sales must be really awful for us to get this.

We are thinking early June, the week before Father's Day. I am thinking a 2 bedroom will be easier to get than a studio just based on availability last week. It's a beautiful resort. I stayed there once a few years ago and the Villas look even better!

I was able to book January 8-11th, 2 bedrooms, last week with no problems. And when I called to change it to the 11th-13th I had no problems either.

Today at my 7 month mark I booked a studio for May 19-24 with no problem. I was surprised that it was available.

I recently got 2 nights over Christmas this past week by calling every day for a few days. I think your chances are good!
