Where is the closest store to GCV to go food shopping?

The CLOSEST store is the Food 4 Less on Katella about 1 mile West of the GCV. While I do some of my shopping at Food 4 Less at home, it is not my preferred store. If you are buying packaged goods like cookies, brand name cold cuts, canned goods, etc they are no different than a regular supermarket. However, if you plan on buying steaks or pork, their meat is not graded. I prefer select or choice meat and they do not have that here. Their produce can also be hit or miss.

Within two miles there are a couple Vons stores (one on Chapman, the other on Lincoln) and a Ralphs (on Euclid). Vons also will deliver to the Villas, and if you order $50+ delivery is free. A little over 5 miles away is Trader Joes which is a great place for food. You would need a car to go to any of these higher end stores, and a car would even be preferred for F4L, espcially if you planned on buying bottled water!
