I have a quick question for those who know.

When do you expect Disney's Grand Californian Villias will be available to book and and when will be opening day?

Our DVC friend is once again giving us some of his unused points and we would like to use them at the Grand. The resort is our favorite Disney hotel.

How many 1 or 2 bedroom villas are available? I know this resort is small because of little space. We are looking for our regular 1 bedroom villa for ourselves or even a 2 bedroom if friends join us.

Reservations are supposed to be start being available to begin booking in the first week of June, I believe it was Sunday, June 7th.

The resort is scheduled to open November 30th.

There will be a total of 48 units. 2 Grand Villas, and 48 2-br units, with I believe it was 23 of them being dedicated 2-brs and 23 that can then be divided into 1-br's and studios.

With BLT and THV, there was a 2 week advance booking window for owners of those resorts. So, if reservations start June 7, I would expect non-VGC owners to not be able to book before June 21. (I don't know that as a fact, just from past experience.)

I agree and think that this is fair to those of us who actually bought VGC. (We had the same advantage with our THV booking and would expect the same for VGC.)
