GCV and park tickets

We will be at DL in about 14 days and I'm wondering if our park tickets can be added to our room key so we only have the one card like we do at DW.

Would we purchase our tickets before leaving home or do it once we get there?? we are doing a 3 day hopper and I am just trying to limit what we are having to carry around!!

In DLR your room key and park tickets are separate. The least I've had to carry was my room key (w charging privileges) + my annual pass (which had my picture imprinted until a year ago to use as identification).

Nope, you'll need to carry your park ticket (we like to put paper ones in a baseball card sleeve so it doesn't get wet on rides), plus your room key, plus an ID these days. Sorry to make life complicated for those of you used to the simplicity of WDW.

I would recommend buying your three day hopper online, print out the confirmation, which you can take to the turnstile where they will hand you your ticket. The ticket booth lines can get long in the morning!

Yes, a 1000 times yes!

If you take the time it *should* take to get a ticket, multiply that time by 10 and you're still under the time it seems for each group to do their transactions at the ticket booths. Even when we were at the booth, upgrading and buying APs, the CM had to disappear multiple times to do/get something, which added more and more time on.

Unlike WDW, buying Disneyland tickets online through their website actually saves you money. Take the printout for the e-ticket right up to the turnstiles, the CM scans it and out pops your ticket. It's a fabulous time-saver and money saver!
