GCH entrance

What time are GCH guests starting to line up for entry to CA currently? Same question for the DD entrance to go to DL. We are staying this week with 8:00 park opening.

EE has only been happening a week now, but friends there Friday said the line up was about 50 people long on Friday at 630a.

Watching vloggers this week, seemed around 7am for both Parks (either esplanade entrance or through GCH near Grizzly) to be near entrance prior to the 7:30am early entry for on site hotel guests.

We just returned from our trip and were there for the first few days of the new early entry. The first two days we arrived at the Grand Cal Downtown Disney security checkpoint around 6:30 and a line was already starting to form. Both days they opened the line about 6:45ish. Both days we were among the first to be at the Disneyland gates. The Harbor security checkpoint was opened about 7:15. I suggest being in line no later than 6:45 so you have enough time to walk to the esplanade before the Harbor security opens up.
