For those who have had the pleasure of CL at this wonderful resort can you tell me if you liked and if it was worth it. I want to take my Mom this summer, she has never really traveled anywhere, and would like to treat us! The rate I am looking at is $385. Let me know your thought!

That is an outstanding rate for concierge!! I have stayed GCH concierge 3 or 4 times and I love it. Sometimes it isn't worth it, when the rates are $700!, but at $385 in the summer? Grab it!

Thanks for the reply, yikes $700 is insane lol. Thanks to the military salute I am able to get that rate, which during the summer seems like quite the deal.

Just curious......Is $385.00 the total cost, including concierge or is that the amount just for the upgrade (not including room)? That is a screaming deal!!!

I will be in San Antonio next week to watch my son graduate from BMT at Lackland..still have no clue why he enlisted when just graduated with a degree in mechanical engineering, My afsc was 1t2x1 when I was in the af very many moons ago.

Congrats to your son! Did he not want to try for OTS, that is what my DH did after college? Enjoy San Antonio, you will be catching the tail end of the Fiesta Celebration that started today.

Hijack2 He said he would be a better officer if he was a grunt first that is where he is headed. Looks like it maybe around 100 with very high humidity, i was miserable in the month of May when I did boot. I have DOD ID so I may see what is cooking thru Salute.

$385 for just a standard room in the summer is a good deal, if you ask me. If you are offered that rate for concierge, take it and don't ask any questions!

We have done concierge before and love it, but sometimes it's just ridiculously expensive to upgrade. We'll pay up to about $150 a night extra (above the regular room cost) for our family of four to upgrade, but after that it's just not worth it.
