GCH checkin?

While it is not our first trip to DL, we are staying onsite for the first time at the GCH and I am so excited! We are taking DH's best friend and his DD7 with us. It is her first trip and it has been years since DH's BF has been there. I know that you can have baskets of stuff sent to your room to be "waiting" for you, but I wanted to know what you have to do to get the autographed pic and first visit button left in the room? I thought DH's BF's DD7 would like that, and it would make a nice little surprise to for her. Do you just ask the front desk when you check in? Can I note it when I call to confirm the reservation and room requests for the last time prior to arrival? Or is it luck of the draw?

Any other tips/info for when I am checking in at the GCH?

I would email vacation planning about requesting the autograph pics and first visit button and remind front desk when checking in. I'd also ask for balloons. We've requested balloons and photos in the past. One time it was handed to us at checkin, another time it was delivered in the evening, and another time we recieved a call in our room that there was a special delivery waiting for the kids downstairs. Another time we had to remind vacation planning on the 2nd day of our stay.

Last time we stayed at DLH, I asked at check in about an autograph pic, we went to our room and to the park, when we got back we had a message my dd had a "special delivery" we went to the front desk and they gave her an autographed pic of the princesses in front of the castle, she was in heaven.

Instead of a gift basket (they are kinda expensive) I smuggled princess pj's in my luggage and made a card from a bunch of characters, welcoming the kid to dl. I hide them under her pillow and when she found them she was thrilled.
