So for all of you wondering about concierge, this is what I have so far:

We got to the hotel via DL Express about 4:30. Check in was quick and a CM from the concierge lounge came over and explained all the benefits to us.

We went up to the "Grand Hours" which is 5-7 p.m. They had cheese puffs with marinara (hot dish), an awesome veggie and cheese, fruit and cracker tray, fociacca bread, pbj's and of course beer and wine.

We just got back from "Sweet Endings" which is from 8-10 p.m. and they had two kinds of cookies, the best darn Mickey macaroons I think I have ever ate (so good I took three to the room), mousse, pie things and they were still serving beer and wine (oh darn!!)

We are in a king room which is great for just the two of us with a courtyard view. It is nice to be on the same floor as the lounge so we can run down and grab waters and soda.

We went into DL this evening and Indy was 40 min, Splash was walk-on, Buzz was 5 minutes, Nemo 60 minutes (going to have to strategize on this one), SM was 25 minutes even right at closing. The park is looking really festive and I am dying to go into HM, the outside of it looks AWESOME!!

That is all for now. Let me know if you have questions.

I enjoyed GCH concierge last week, make sure you have one of the scones during the afternoon tomorrow. Did they finally get the painting done on the hotel in the courtyard, that whole area was full of scaffolding last week. One of my favorite things when I have courtyard view, is to sit on my balcony and watch the monorail go quietly by. I find that so relaxing. Have a wonderful time, GCH concierge is my favorite.:)

Sounds heavenly!:cloud9:

Hope you have TONS OF FUN! Keep us posted on all your adventures!:thumbsup2

I'll be waiting for more updates.:surfweb:

Have not seen the scaffolding so it must be down. I will definitely try a scone. So far with the AP rate I think having the concierge is worth it. I am not sure if I would pay full price for it however.

I'm glad they got done with the painting there, it didn't look like a very pretty view for those in courtyard. We had the AP rate too, great price! I've done the regular price too, but that's only because I wanted constant access to food for my 19 year old, bottomless pit, son. He's gone back to college now, and I'm saving a bundle on food!:thumbsup2

YAY!! Sounds great, I can't wait till Saturday night for DLH Concierge for me.

Yippe for PBJ's during night time too. What kind of beer and wine do they offer? What size/kind of soda do they offer?

Have fun and hopefully it won't rain too much on ya tomorow!

sounds like a fun day!!
Did you ever get some TT Morning Madness tickets??
I hope you did! If not, maybe beg at Guest services?

We leave for DL Sunday morning..can't wait!
Will you still be there?
We're staying at the GCH too, but not concierge..lucky you!

We leave on Sunday.

They have Coke, Diet Coke, Sprite, water, coffees, teas, Bud, Miller Lite and five different kinds of wine. They serve the beer and wine in nice large glasses. We saw people coming in the lounge and taking the beer and wine out into their rooms too.

I will give you an update on the breakfast when we go this morning. One of the concierge staff indicated the hotel was only at 70% capacity- which surprises me that they would not offer more AP rates if that is true.....

Also update on DL Express- you do not have to make advance reservations even though their website says so. The bus was not crowded, there was just us and one other couple on it. GC was the third stop after DLH and PP.

Also, VP did not have balloons or our pictures at the desk or in the room. If this is something you ordered I would double check it. This is the second trip that they have messed this up. I have used the same VP person both times and will not use her again. I just don't want those of you with children to be disappointed. If DS was with us I would have been frustrated but since he is not I am going with the flow.

Breakfast:

Two kinds of bagels and two kinds of cream cheese to toast if you want. People were ordering white or wheat bread so that is also available, you just have to ask. All kinds of jellies, butter, etc. Awesome fruit tray, two kinds of good muffins, croissants, chocolate filled croissants, four kinds of cereal, milk, apple and orange juice, coffee, awesome banana bread. I also saw people with Yoplait yogurt containers so I am thinking this was also available I just did not see it. A really great continental breakfast.

Heading to the park soon.

YAY, Sounds good. Now I'm especially glad we're not doing the $70 Goofy's Kitchen Breakfast, that spread will be plenty enough for us.

We can always do Goofy's Kitchen if we wanted to come up for a day trip, we're local so it's easy.

Thanks for the concierge accounts, not much info here or anywhere.

What size sodas did they have? We're they portable to go to the parks for the day?

The drinks are 10 oz. which are nice for packing. The soda are in glass bottles so you cannot pack into the park. The water is in plastic so those we have taken in.

Afternoon tea (lunch): Two kinds of sandwiches, fruit tray, chocolate dipped strawberries, lady fingers and that is all that I happened to glance at. I think they had chips also.

Great info, that's where we'll be in 29 days so I love hearing this! So - I guess I needn't order milk & cookies to be delivered to my daughter at night, right?

I'll be in concierge theme park view on Monday, we are first going to universal studios and the beach then Disney is the last leg of our trip, we saved the best for last.
:cool1:  :woohoo: :dance3: :cheer2:

Yum, that sounds good, I hope the PP concierge has similar breakfast offerings!

Enjoy the rest of your trip and thanks for the updates!

The GC concierge has nightly cookies and milk for the kids and storytelling. I would not pay $25 to have them sent to the room when you can go down the hall and get them as part of your benefits.

ohhh WE are doing PP concierge this xmas!! Hope it is just as yummy! With 3 kids it will be well worth the expense!!

We typically stay at the concierge level when we go... and it is so worth it with children. But then again, I love getting spoiled (especially on vacation)... we take advantage of every treat.

Headed to the park this morning and it rained for about 5 minutes and we had the whole park (felt like to ourselves) from 7 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. Got dreamed to the left of the castle with fastpasses at about 9:20 a.m. It took them more than 20 min. to hand them out- not a high traffic area and the park was pretty empty.
We saw a ton of ears in FL and asked a few people and they got them coming off Pinnochio just after 9 a.m.
At about 9:30 a.m. we were strolling through FL and DH saw two CM's on the walkway between Dumbo and Storybook and they had Dream ears. We were really hoping to get ears on this trip so that was every exciting.
Also note for the dream fastpasses- they gave you a separate hard ticket labeled a DREAM FASTPASS for Haunted Mansion.

We walked on everthing and left the park about 9:45 a.m. to head to CA. TOT was a walk on just after opening and Soarin was like 5 min. It has been great weather for the last few hours.

Dark clouds rolling in again- yep, it is raining here again. Time to hit the parks!!!
