Hardly Took DDs ice-skating today for Rea's birthday. OH MY GOD, I'd forgotten how hard it is. My ankles are really sore and so's my posterior. I did only fall over once though

Only managed to stay on the ice for just over an hour - it was just too hard to stay upright. What made it worse was there was a guy there who must have been 70 if he was a day and he was gliding around the ice like Christopher Dean Me, I was more like Andi Peters

That ice is hard though when you fall on it, I know from bitter experience

Sounds as though you all had a fab time Joh. I haven't been ice skating for years.

I've bought roller blades for summer tho. Probably just as well there is no ice because I think I am going to fall over ALOT.

I'm glad that you had fun. I took my Fiance Ice Skating a few months ago. We hadn't been for many years and boy did I ache the next day. It must be a really good work out

yeah I used to spend every Friday and saturday night at the ice rink when I was 15/16, I used to stand on the edge and watch the boys go by especially my very cool boyfriend who could speed skate backwards No I did go on the ice ocasionally and he would hold my hands but it was always a 5 minute wonder, besides cute mini skirts and ice just didn't mix Joh, you are a very brave girl getting on the ice, well done, sorry you're so sore now,
