Gaylord Palms

Stayed at the Gaylord Palms last November....the place is wonderful!!! They were just begining to put up the Christmas decorations and were going to be opening an ice sculpture display.

I think I probably ate at most of the resturants and do remember the food being good but definately on the expensive end. Also had a sandwich from the bakery/grab'n'go place and it was about $6.00 and marginal at best.

I have also stayed at the Gaylord Opryland in Nashville.....very similar.

The one thing I always had problems with was losing my sense of direction and ending up going in circles trying to find my way back to my room (that was both before and after cocktails:))

I tried Switchboard.com to find their phone # and see if they had a website but the only listing they had for pizza places in Old Town was hungry Howies. Have you been there recently???

This is the list of restaurants at Old Town. There is a link to download Flipper's menu just below their logo partway down the page.

No way to know. Early December weather in Florida can be almost anything from summer hot to winter cold. You won't know until you get closer to that time and can check the extended forecast.

What rate did you get through priceline for the resort? anyone?

$83 October 2004
$90 October 2004
$105 June 2005

Biddingfotravel.com will help you gauge the current going rates. Good luck! This place is awesome.

we went past Gaylord Palms everytime we came on rte 4 back to our timeshare as they had the 192E exit closed for construction. We were blown away with the place from the outside, and now I wish we would have gone in just to tour the place! Sounds like an amazing place to stay ::yes::

I think they also have a resort fee... For that you get the paper, free internet and two bottles of water and juice a day.

My biggest complaint was self parking... it's a LONG way away and $7!

Also, this hotel is very isolated. You can't walk to anywhere from there!

Has anyone been there at Christmas time? I am thinking about heading down in early December to check out the Disney decorations and would love to tour this property if it is all done up as well.
Thanks!
