Hey everyone :)

I've been in the process of writing a review of my Disney trip from last month on my blog. We stayed for a week at the BLT in a 1BR, but every time we go to Disney, I make sure we stay a few days at the Gaylord Palms since it's one of our favorite resorts.

I did a short photo tour of the public areas and posted it on my blog. You can see it at http://sunglassesandumbrelladrinks....how-many-days-in-row-will-we-wear-tie_11.html . I have pics up of the room in a previous post if anyone is interested in those.

And if anyone has any Gaylord Palms questions, I'd be happy to answer. We've stayed here a bunch of times and we absolutely love it :)

-Nicole :)

i do have questions:

do they have an indoor boat ride (they have one at Opryland)
is the food awesome? it is at Opryland so i imagine it is awesome at Palms too!

i do have questions:
do they have any indoor pools? Nope. Two outdoors, though: one adults only and one family pool (and a few whirlpools)l
do they have an indoor boat ride (they have one at Opryland)Nope.
is the food awesome? it is at Opryland so i imagine it is awesome at Palms too! Never tried the food here. We always intend to, but never actually do it. I hear the restaurants are top notch from friends who have dined there, though.

The food is unbelievable...We ate at Sunset Sam's --seafood, it was great, DH had dinner at the Hickory Steakhouse---really good, but my absolute favorite was the buffet at Villa de Flora--SO DELICIOUS. We had dinner and breakfast here.:cloud9:

Nicole, I'd love to see your room pictures!

Just wanted to pop on and tell you I checked out your blog. I am really enjoying reading about your trip and seeing all your beautiful pics. This is the time we normally go but this year put it off till December so I am kinda bummed out . But I know I will be glad when its the time we "would' have been coming back! lol I think I will go settle the rugrats and read some more. I know I have some questions for you about Gaylord but most of them relate to Christmas time. Have you ever been during December?

is this where they have the ice show at christmas time?

where would you suggest we eat there if it is? we are a large party. so buffet would be best but we have some fish eaters, some meet eaters, 4 kids under 6, 2 teens and 4 adults.

thanks!
loved your pictures. you are a very good photographer.:cool1:

I've always wanted to try Villa de Flora (and especially the Hickory Steakhouse). I figure we travel to the GP so much, I'll get there eventually :goodvibes

I think they're in the post or two before the photo tour. I'll check and if they're not, I'll put 'em up.

Unfortunately no :( I'd imagine it's magical there at Christmas time, though.

Glad you enjoyed the pics! :)

Yep! Ice would be in the atrium :)

The buffet at the Gaylord Palms is Villa de Flora. I've heard nothing but good reviews on it, and the menu is VERY diverse, but if you are a large party, it might not be ideal as it is pretty pricey (as are all of the restaurants at the Gaylord Palms). The menus for all of the restaurants are up on the Gaylord Palms Web site, if you're curious.

I'm glad you enjoyed the pictures :)

Just got back and while taking DME to and from our resort, I was in awe of this place and how lovely it looked! Its HUGE and I am sure VERY, VERY nice inside! If we ever stay offsite again this will be the place, I am going to read you blog now, thx!!
