Has anyone booked and enjoyed the Ice overnight package deal at Gaylord. It includes an atrium room, breakfast, priority tixs to ICE and iceskating, with a chef interaction where you make a gingerbread house. Any comments on the holidays here, etc. would be greatly appreciated. We are going up for the new years weekend (I know a little past the holiday but they say it will still all be up and running) before we surprise the kids with a short cruise. I am anxious to hear anything you remember :) :thumbsup2

the outdoor ice skating is new this year. I've been seeing the ad for the package have been contemplating it myself.

I go to Ice every year. I am excited about the ice skating this year. I wonder how it will be done with the temps we have here in FL.

Is the Gaylord a good hotel? We are booked to stay there for a package deal, but can change anytime up to three days before. We also plan on eating at the restaurant in the boat(I think it is called Sams Fish Camp??). Is it beautiful during the holidays? Their website is not that great.

Uh, yeah, it's a NICE hotel. Your breath will be taken away when you pull up to it.

We ate at the Hickory Steakhouse last night & it was absolutely wonderful. Fantastic, delicious food. Very pricey - all ala carte, but delicious. The hotel is gorgeous & there seems to be a lot to do. Just walking around it & looking at everything is terrific. It is decorated for C-mas - not completely yet, though we were told - & the decorations are beautiful.

Does anyone have a link or a price on how much the Ice overnight package is?

The website we looked at was www.gaylordpalms.com/ice. Honestly, it is not the best website but it does describe the packages. I called the hotel to book the package. It was approx. $370 for one night but includes tickets for five people, priority entrance, ice skating, breakfast and other package activities to include making a gingerbread house, shows, etc. with an atrium room (large).

I am looking forward to it! :thumbsup2

I read about this event on the boards and thought it looked so fun! :thumbsup2 How far is it from Disney and would it be worth a cab ride to see it? ( We are using magical express!)Thanks for your help!!

It is just a few miles from WDW property off Osceola Parkway in Kissimmee. (About 2 miles from Pop Century Resort)

We've never been to the ice show, but we have only heard wonderful things about it & not to miss it. We are going in a few weeks & really looking forward to it. The hotel itself & the C-mas decorations are worth seeing, also.
