Gaylord Palms "ICE!" promotion code?

FYI-

I called Gaylord Palms, and they said that the promo codes are not "activated" yet. They just started working on this, because they open November 14. They will be calling me back, so I will post when I know more....

There are a few out there. I'm not sure the rules surrounding their use though. I found these yesterday....

PPCAD - $2 off. Link: http://www.gaylordhotels.com/gaylor...rlando-events/ICE/cadillac-driving-force.html

CCPEK - For UCF employees via Perkline. Link: http://www.hr.ucf.edu/web/this_just_in.shtml Will come up if you put it in, but who knows if they'll require some sort of college ID or something?

CHGKW - $2 off + they'll give $3 to charity. Doesn't work for me but it's supposed to. Link: http://www.gktw.org/howToHelp.asp?a=3&page=regional

If anyone knows rules surrounding use of the top 2, please post. Thanks.

I know that last year all they did was collect the tickets (or printed out paper in my case) as they went down the line. They didn't even look at them.

Thank you so much for the update...

I sure hope they don't require the UCF ID. I just purchased 7 tickets for my family, and when they printed, it says at the top of the paper (not on the ticket) "employee ID required". The tickets do say UCF/Perkline on them. I'm out over $90 if they need the ID. I do think my SIL may actually work for them, though. They live in Dade City (near Tampa) and think that's the Univ. she's an instructor at. But they weren't planning on meeting us here. If anyone uses these tickets successfully before the 20th, please post. We're going on TG, but leaving home on the 20th. Thanks!

Still haven't received a call back, so I assume they didn't mean I would be hearing soon.

I promise to let everyone know when I know more.

I believe that there may be an offer of some sort related to DU travel and maybe a stay at the Gaylord Palms, there was one last year and when I posted asking about it on the podcast board someone replied to say it may be released in the next couple of days!

UCF is based in Orlando but does have some satelite campuses - its not the big university in Tampa though - that would be USF.

My daughter is a student at UCF - will have to check and see if they get the perk.

:)Hi all.
We're planning to tour ICE on the same day we're attending MVMCP. How long will it take for us to take in all the sights of ICE? Anyone know?? Thank you in advance!!:yay:

How long does it take to tour ICE? :goodvibes

I have never been, but according to the reviews from the DIS Podcast team, they toured it in about 20 min. I don't think they went down the slide, they said there was a big line for that, so they decided not to stand in the freezing cold to wait. I think you can spend as much time as you want to....but realize it is freezing.

Our plan is to take in some of the other sights at the resort along with ICE, we want to visit all the different areas in the atrium and maybe do the "look for the gnomes". They also have alligator feedings. We will probably spend 2-3 hours I am guessing....maybe get some hot chocolate or drinks.

That's a brilliant idea! I was just trying to decide which day to do that.

:goodvibes I figured it would be a good thing for us to do in the late morning, after breakfast at Ohana. Going by what others here have been saying, I suppose we'll put aside 2 hours or so for this, so we can wander around the hotel itself.
