I just reserved the Gaylord Palms for our June WDW trip. Has anyone been upgraded at this hotel? How did you do it?? Is there a program that will give me "perks" for joining??? I read that the hotel charges $10.00 parking and a $10.00 resort fee:rolleyes: Give me a break!! Has anyone ever been able to waive these fees??
I also wondered if there was any one area of the hotel that you preferred? Any hints or tips would be appreciated!! :) :D

Thanks to all!!!:Pinkbounc

I don't know of any frequent stay program, however, this place is lovely. We were booked in the Emerald bay section, so there was nothing to upgrade to. I didn't try to get the resort fee waived, but the parking was included in our rate. What kind of rate did you get? I see there are some good specials for May and June. It really is a wonderful hotel and VERY close to WDW.

We were able to get a rate of 86.00 on Priceline. I used the biddingfortravel site and researched a great deal, so I had an idea that it was the hotel I would receive ( although it is never carved in stone.) I thought this was a really great rate. I just hope we don't get a room out next to the dumpster - which wouldn't be good atany hotel.:p

You can get around the $10 parrking fee by telling them you'll self park. If you do this be prepared to walk for 10min to your room because self parking is by the convention center. This is an upscale convention hotel so be prepared to open your walet alot. It is like staying at the GF.........TAZ
