Gaylord Palms at Christmas

Do you remember when was the groupon for last year? I sure hope it isn't the Tuesday before Thanksgivning.

It was near the end of ICE! I believe it was Dec 29. The Groupon just brought tons of locals. :-) I am local so I was upset I didn't know they had a Groupon. LOL.

Deal breaker. Will not consider it.

If $15 is a deal breaker, then perhaps you should reconsider a trip to Orlando if money is that tight. I think the free entertainment and atmosphere is worth the parking fee. There are also several nice places to eat inside that are not character meals.

We have done ICE several times since we have lived in FL. One yr funds were limited and we could not afford ICE. We still went to Gaylord Palms and ejoyed the Chritmas Activities. $15. was worth the price adm. for 4. I do not think the they realize what is involved in the decor and atmosphere. To be able to get it back if you eat $50. worth of food. :cheer2:

Yes, we enjoyed the free shows. We just got coffee from the coffee shop and sat and watched. My kids also like walking around the atrium looking at the alligators and such. Why, don't know, we have alligators in our back yard but I guess contained alligators are more interesting. My "kids" are 20, 18, 10, and 9 and whenever they hear us say we need to book a hotel they shout out GAYLORD PALMS! LOL. A few years ago it was the Nick Hotel, but they don't ask for the Nick hotel anymore and I hear it has went downhill.

I will say, I also like City Walk and Downtown Disney just to sit and hangout in the evenings, but since it is outdoors it has to be nice weather. There is free street entertainment there as well. I again just grab a coffee and sit back and relax and enjoy people watching and the free stuff. But City Walk has a pretty hefty parking fee as well. Downtown Disney parking is free, so that may be an option for those on a budget. You often have school choirs and other groups at DTD signing as your free entertainment.
