was among the first couples to get married in California since the gay marriage ban was lifted. I'm so happy for them.

So, do you support or oppose California allowing gay marriage?

Support, as long as it is not being FORCED upon a church to marry the couple.

I just read that earlier today.
i read about their story and how they were fired from their jobs and almost forced to go into electric shock therapy to be 'cured'.
So I am truly happy that after such a looooong and hard struggle over something so simple as love, they can finally do what should've been done 50 years ago and GET MARRIED! :goodvibes

As for the gay marriage ban in Cali I'm thrilled. I hope more states follow suit and allow gay marriage.

(also hooray for canada for lifting the ban almost 3 years ago! :thumbsup2 )
*it'll be 3 yrs in july i believe.

It would be nice if Florida did this eventually

::yes::
I'm so happy for the couple.
I wish the rest of the US would follow what Cali has done.
I support cali lifting the ban on gay marriage.

I'm glad and I support it.
And it would be great if the rest of America followed.

I have a friend who's a lesbian and her mom is totally run by the bible and would disown her if she found out :l
I got in a little debate with her about equal gay rights, haha. She even has a book called "how to turn your gay neighbors straight"
I wanted to burn it.
I hate how people use the bible and religion as a reason for them to hate.

There's a book like that?
Pfft. I would have tore out the pages.

Somehow everything boils down to religion. Two of my friends are really religious and sometimes I hate it.

Honestly, I can't even talk about religion anymore without a lot of yelling on my part. It just frusterates me to no end how people use it as an excuse for hatred.

I actually support it because everyone should be able to be happy or in some cases go through the pain of marriage...lol. And for the Religion part, God forgives so why wouldn't he forgive this.

I support it, and I'm happy for those who can now find their own happiness.

It's actually been 5 years in Ontario.
But yeah, at a Federal level, it's been 5 years this July the 20th.
It's awesome.

And I totally support California.
It's great, now if only the other States will follow suit.

I totally support it, of course!!

If you know me around here, well, I'm pretty well known for getting VERY involved in the whole gay rights/gay marriage and homosexuality/religion debates!

Religion scares me. It's telling little kids "if you're GAY then you're going to HELL FOR ALL ETERNITY!!!"

Hello? My best friend is a lesbian. And her mom's cool with it (although she's a bit religious). Maybe it's cuz she's bi herself...and my friend's older sister is bi, too.

I'm biiiiiiiii and prooooouuuuud :)

Reid should make an appearance here LOL.

IF ONLY THEY'D MAKE IT LEGAL IN OTHER PLACES!!!
