We'll it will affect the crowds in that many people in the crowd will be gay. Does that help?

The crowds may be heavier but I'm not sure. Another thing to think about is that it will also be the last day of the Flower and Garden show at Epcot. I'll be an Animal Kingdom.

We were there last year during Gay Days and did not notice any difference in crowd levels. As a matter of fact we are planning on visiting Epcot the same day as you  It is also the last day of the Flower and Garden Festival :flower:

Last year, at Magic Kingdom on Saturday, from about 9:30 on, the park was packed!

We will be at WDW June 1-10. The Gay Days schedule also interests our family. I am trying to plan our days to be at an a park not scheduled for GD. I went to gaydays.com and found a posted schedule of the parks. From what I saw, Epcot day is not June 5. June 5 is Magic Kingdom day. You may want to check out this site.

From what I read on another post there are apparently two different gay day schedules--gaydays.com and gayday.com--I believe the official gay day at MK is the first Saturday in June which is what is posted on gaydays.com. Hopefully someone else will come along and explain the difference. I know that on our visit in 2003 there was a message in our room on the first Saturday in June that large crowds were expected at MK so two other parks would be open earlier that day but we did not receive anything about crowd levels at MK on Sunday. HTH

I know I was confused too. However, I read a post by someone who said there are two different Gay Days websites. One is gaydays.com and one is gayday.com. They both have different schedules. From what I understand, they used to follow the same schedule, but this year for some reason they have different ones. I also read that main thing is to avoid MK on Saturday and Sunday.

Last year we were in the parks during gay days as well. We avoided MK on that Sat. because from what I've heard that is the most crowded. The rest of the trip we noticed no major difference. I dont' think it will be too much of a problem.

The reason for two different schedules is that one of the main planners for gay days wanted to add Universal into the mix. This year Universal has been spending a considerable amount of money to support the event. This is what caused the division in the two planning schedules. With more than 100000 gay and lesbian people coming to orlando it will be crowded most likely on sat AND sunday as people will be at both posted gay days at MK. I know very confusing for those attending and those planning. Hope this helps.

Sorry - That was funny.
I'm with you! Gay Days scheduled at the same
time as Epcot Flower Garden Show??
Coincidence????? I think not..... :rose: :rotfl2:
and will there be hairy men dressed up in
tinkerbell outfits???????? this could be a little
disturbing.... :rotfl: :rotfl:

I'd much rather go at gay day if I could avoid any "large family line cutting" day.... :rotfl:
