Here is a belated, delayed, and bewildered report from Gay Days Anaheim. Sorry if it is light on the Gay Days and heavy on the Halloweentime, but I was kinda distracted by the many, umm, sights of Gay Days and kinda forgot to take many pictures.

Just a few thoughts before I get going. This was my first trip to Gay Days. I do Disneyland solo a lot, because none of my friends really get the “Disney thing” as they call it. Plus it is nice to be able to drive 3 hours for a long weekend away from work, and it forces me not to go into my store on my days off. That whole “work /life balance” thing that is always on my end of year review! HAHAHAHA :rolleyes1

I had a blast at Gay Days. I did not end up doing it solo. On Wednesday, I put a shout out on Craigslist to see if anyone else was going solo and if they wanted to hit up some of the things during the weekend. I had planned to do a half a day on my own and then the rest with new friends if it worked out OK. I actually made 2 great new friends that I spent the weekend with and have new park partners for my future visits.

I chickened out on the meets for the other message board again. One of these times, I will make that gosh darn noon meet on Sunday. I am actually good about meeting people, but for some reason, it is one of my stigma’s. I think it is because when I read the reports from the meets, they seem to close to each other that I am intimidated. And that actually takes some doing. But I WILL go one of these times and just say HELLO to all of them.
Anyways, Here are the sights of the weekend to me. Enjoy it for what it is worth.

Let’s start at the entrance!

Next up…I fell in love with a man named JACK!

So, yes. :lovestruc I have had a crush on Jack for a while now, but seeing him in person made me realize just how special he was and that he is truly the man of my dreams. Sadly, he has eyes for another. :scared1: I will just have to settle for our secret glances through the crowd and have to live with the memory that, we will always have Disneyland!

And if you have never witnessed the WORLD FAMOUS DISNEYLAND SYCHRONIZED STROLLER TEAM, you really need to check it out. While waiting for one of my park-mates to show up, I got a chance to see the Mad Hatter and Alice in action. They were fabulous! Between the strollers and the WORLD FAMOUS DISNEYLAND DANCE TEAM, made up of 4 and 5 year olds, their “act” was pure joy and magic.

Onwards to Red Shirts, Magical Dragons, and other disney fun!

Celebrating a parade, and those fantasmic gays!

My favorite tees of the weekend. You just had to smile!

I really wish I had video or pictures of Mamma trying to teach and lead the red army for the dance at the beginning of C!ASP. Great effort and good entertainment. He even had Hook and The Queen of Hearts in the street before the parade doing the dance.

Ok, gotta tell a story on this one. The Dans were singing and the parents had their kids stand in front of them to take a picture. The kids struck the pose, and the Dans stepped up and matched the pose with the kids. Everyone around just started laughing, and the Dans never missed a beat!

Not sure why he decided to stand like that. Really, got nothin on this one!

Cone on, it’s gay days…how do you not take you picture in front of the fruit stand!

I actually used the photopass for my half marathon weekend, and I waited a couple weeks to start the timer, so I could get some pictures from this weekend on it. With the $10 off, I have 200 pictures for $50. I wouldn’t do it everytime, but the half marathon pictures were well worth it, and these were just an added bonus!

THE END!

Next stop…a quick 3 day trip in November to check out Holiday and then off to my FIRST TRIP EVER TO WALT DISNEY WORLD FOR THE MOST INCREDIBLE, WONDERFUL, JOYFUL, EXCITING, MAGICAL 5 HOURS (AND 26.2 MILES) OF MY LIFE!

GREAT photos!!! I thought so too, about that girl, and the one done up as Maleficent...

I LOVE the Tinkerbell pumpkin! Ideas, I deas!

The shirts are great too. That is the best part of gay days for us; reading the shirts!!! (That's my story and I'm sticking to it).

A friend of mine sent a shot of a shirt she took at FWF just last week. "If I were wearing something under this, it would be a skirt." LOL. It was on a man in kilt, of course. Interesting concept.

I got a big kick out of the fresh fruit photo. LOL. Love the sense of play and humor. ::yes::
