Who is going to Gay Days 2007 this year? Where are you staying, eating, partying? Is anyone planning a get together? This will be mine and my partner's second Gay Days. Is there anyplace special you have found to canoodle? Share your trip and tips here!

My partner and I will be making our second trip down there this year for Gay Days. Have not booked our hotel yet. Most likely will be staying at Wilderness Lodge Villas as part of the Vacation Club. We had a blast in 2005 and was our first trip to WDW as a couple. Stayed at POR in the bayou. Loved it. Our room was somewhat secluded and very peaceful.

This year we may host a DIS boards meet and greet. Cocktails anyone on Friday night? Not much into the large parties/bars. Love to meet new friends. Hope to see many of you there in red.

Steven

Thanks for posting! It was my fourth trip and my partner Zack's first. This will make our second Gay Days this year. We leave Birmingham on May 25th for Pensacola, FL Memorial Day Pride celebration and stay there for two days, then head out of P'Cola Sunday morning for Orlando and then stay at Disney until the 4th. We havent booked a hotel yet either but I highly doubt we stay on site as we are both college students on a somewhat limited income. So it gets costly to go to Pensacola and then to Disney for seven days plus food, gas, tickets, entertainment, etc. We might swing staying on site a few days towards the end of the trip. A meetup would be great, maybe a light dinner, drinks, socializing. We are trying to turn this into an annual event for us. We are hoping to get married in the park in the next few years perhaps. If anyone has any info on Disney hosting Gay weddings please let us know.

I've got the whole week off so I hope to do something this year :thumbsup2 I'd love to go to Beach Ball (7 gaydays since I moved to the area and still havent been for that LOL), and some of the concerts at the local clubs.

Here's a big long calendar of events....

We have never been to any of the parties but we might go this year if time and money allow.

We float in and out of the festivities at the Parks. Not ever been to any of the formal events, but did stop into the merchadising booths one year. It was sort of neat, but small.

I simply love to see everyone come to town with their partners, children, families and friends. It's a completely different atmosphere here during that time. Everyone is so friendly from guests to CMs alike. Wish it were always like that.

I also love to read the slogan tshirts. To date my favorite was one I saw on a rather portly gentleman. It read, "G-d Save the Queen!" Priceless. :cool1:

As we live in Orlando, we most likely will do a park or so, but probably avoid the clubs at night.

We are moving to Boston in July, so this will be our last hurray before we leave.:cool1:

How exciting to be moving! You will still have to make time to come back to the World. The only clubs we went to last year were Adventurer's Club mostly and the Disco Club at DD. Zack is only 20 so he still isnt old enough to get in the over 21 places.

I've never been but I'd like to go for a few days this year. I'm going to put in for vacation from work tomorrow!

Pleasure Island was a blast on the Thursday before last year. While Disney doesn't "officially" support or run any of the events, they did have a great "Red Pride" party at Motion (sponsored by Smirnov) with cool stage performances, free shirts (I got one that says "Always Worth It" :thumbsup2 ) and special light-up drinks. It was crowded but a lot of fun :)

Why the red shirts? Just curious.

Must be quite the sight to see at the "Park of the Day" - which might have just answered my own question.

When the event started years ago, the participants decided to wear red shirts so they would be visable to each other in the parks. MK on Saturday is now a sea of red, a rather impressive site to see!

I really wish we could get all the gay people who happen to be guests at WDW to wear red shirts on some random day not associated with GayDays. Let's make it, I dunno...the third Tuesday in October! We can call it Count the Random 'Mos Day (ok, maybe someone in PR can come up with a better name).

I have a feeling we'd still see a whole lot of red. :)

There was talk a while back of having a mini meet in August with people from this board. Let me check with my memory......Viki?

Friends, I've just created a sticky on Gay Days, so please post any information you deem "sticky" worthy above!
