Gay Days '07---EMH at MK Friday night...

I just joined Dis Boards--after reading for months to prepare for our trip later this month... There's so much talk about Gay Days, and crowds etc (especially at MK on Saturday). We actually have to leave Orlando on Saturday, so wanted to spend Friday eve at the MK EMHs---does anyone have an opinion on how crowded it will be?? Just 'usual' Friday night crowds, 'less' crowded (seems like some people avoid DW during Gay Days--why?), or 'more' crowded, because of Gays Days participants. Have searched all the other forums and can't find any comments about the MK EMH on the night BEFORE the big MK day....thanks for any input.

I'm thinking since most Gay Day participants will want to be there Saturday and that most ( alot ? ) will be out partying somewhere other then MK on Friday night it most probably is a good time to go that week.

Thanks for the advice--I kind of thought that might be the case, but I know not all participants are there to partypartyparty, so we'll see! Looks like you know the Boardwalk area well--we're excited to be at BC for our first on-site stay. Have a great time!

Despite a prediction of a fairly big crowd on that Friday, the Unofficial Guide's website recommends attending Magic Kingdom on June 1st. Perhaps they recommend it because the Magic Kingdom gay crowd is expected on Saturday. On a scale from 1 - 10 with 10 being the most crowded, they predict it at a 7. 7 = Peak waits of 65 - 74 minutes. Since you're staying at a Disney resort, the extra magic hours may compensate for the crowd level Friday. Remember, having a good touring plan to be at the right attraction at the right time of day will shorten your waiting in line even more than attending the right park on the right day.
