Good to know our instincts are still pretty damn spot on. I was telling my wife about this incident and the ensuing brouhaha on the other thread, and she too felt that the cops were all wrong. She didn't believe for a minute that it was anything other than that. Some of us have seen too much, experienced too much, to not recognize harassment when we see it, eh?

There was another incident...something about two men kissing in a restaurant and then being refused service (the whole small group). It was in TX also.

Anyway, stay safe "out there." It's a harsh world.

hmmm progress???? I will be interested to see if anyone gets fired or if now that they acknowledged it will they let it go quietly away under the guise of a long ongoing investigation. Am i suspicious and cynical you bet

How very disgusting that the "protectors of the innocent" felt the right to act this way. It saddened me when the news came out that in this day and age people are still treated with disrespect because of a simple thing called love.

Last I heard after spending about a week in the hospital, he was treated and released. He still has a blood clot in his brain from the last I heard and they were watching it, whatever that means. Not sure how much "out of the woods" he is or not.

Yes, the Dallas Eagle got shut down by the TABC. BUT....it was because a competitor called the TABC telling them that they forgot to have their license updated for the new address after they moved across the parking lot into a new building. They claim they did and that the TABC representative said it was taken care of, but it wasn't. The Dallas Eagle staff said that the agents acted very professionally and had no problems with them at all. They'll be back open once the license thing is cleared up.

Thank you for the update. At least it's being investigated. It's a start. It would be nice if it hadn't happened at all but at least someone is listening to somebody.

Just read the update, and I want to make it clear, my post before was not an attempt to start drama, but rather hold out judgement until a more clear understanding and investigation was complete.

There definately appears to be missteps they realize and it is unfortunate it took something like this for them to get the backlash and hold people accountable for their actions (in this case the TABC and police).

WHY why when sometimes I feel(HOPE) people have come so far that terrible things like this happen.

My nephew (straight) has worked here for years started as a bar back now management(pic 1/3 way down SEAN) organizes some of the BEST events the club has ever seen has MANY friends in the LGBT community and its a FUN CLUB no matter your orientation

But I sometimes worry simply because it is considered a "GAY BAR" and if you are seen leaving people who are the scum of the earth could hurt or worse my Nephew or ANY of their many patrons
