Gay and Lesbian in showbiz

I heard from my gay friends that a lot of gays and lesbians are in show business, mostly in music, voice acting, and animation. Is that true? It is not that I don't believe them, but I want your opinion.

I'm not sure if your friend is basing that on fact or just stereotype. As AlexMouse said ( sort of ) the LGBTA community is represented along all walks of life, interests and professions.
