And my DH says forget it next trip.

We usually come in late and on our trip last Dec. there was only 1 person at the reservation desk....well it took forever somehow they had 2 extra reservations that I had cancelled but not the one I kept, in their system....but I had that great rate for a mini-van good thing I had the print out.

This trip I joined the fast Fast Lane and thought for sure we would save some time. There was only 1 person at the reservation desk again so forget Fast Lane. This time I had called to make sure everything was A.O.K. in thier system, but this gal decided she was going to persue us for the up-grade. This was a last minute car rental so my rate was already at $240 ($40 less than EI) for an intermediate, she offered us the Concorde for $72 more. I could have reserved a mini-van for that price or went with EI. DH said she would not take no for an answer and when he said he absolutely was not taking it and that other people were waiting behind him she said "too bad everyone has to wait their turn"

Long story longer DH said he does not care what EI or ER costs that's what we are going with

I can understand. Last time I tried to rent with Dollar, they wanted to put an extra $200 on my CC and I said no way, only the price of the rental. I have a great driving record and car insurance, plus I was using a gold VISA so that also have the protection and they said they had to put the extra on because I wasn't taking the insurance with them!

They do add on a deposit of 15% of the rental or 200.00 whichever is more. That is one of the reasons I have not used Dollar. I also don't care for the fact that they run a credit check on you if you use a debit card with a visa/mc logo. I have great credit, but, I don't wish to have it examined and judged by someone who can probably not read a credit report.

All this "info" is on their website. I think I have WAY too much time on my hands.
