My friend is due to fly out of Gatwick tomorrow for their first ever family holidau - her, hubby and four children (1 with Aspergers and 1 learning difficulties) for 4 weeks in Orlando - she has spent upwards of £20,000 (including spends), Richard Petty experience for her son and Discovery Cove on Christmas Day and only the eldest son knows.
She has a real problem now apart from the Gatwick flyer being booked for 5 am tomorrow and not able to cancel with out incurring full cost (rang them today and no luck) she has Cinderella's castle booked for Saturday, her birthday - should she ring Disney and explain problem and see if they can change etc - never had a problem like this on our trips so no idea what to advise - Any ideas
this is awful! poor Alison was on her way to gatwick today for her flight tomorrow, my heart goes out to everyone affected, I understand why they've done it but it's just not fair :-(
I have just had a long conversation with my very upset friend, she had been in tears for sometime - she was on the 11.15 virgin flight tomorrow that has been cancelled, she has been on the phone to them for over 2 hours more than an hour of this on hold! but still has no answers, they are offering her a refund on her flights (but she booked a package with them - should they not refund it all!!!) or re-book for later paying any increase in price, she asked if they could move her to another flight to any where and take an internal flight or train but they have told her that all flights in the next few days are fully booked. I really feel for anyone in this situation and hope that all manage to get there eventually
