Is Gatwick airport still a building site if your flying with virgin?Was hoping it was all done for this years trip but friends who have just come back from LA say still lots of construction?

think it depends which terminal you mean - when we flew with BA in 2009 they were doing lots of work - none in 2010 with Virgin at South Terminal

I am a bit confused here as if your friends came back from LA they would of flown into Heathrow?

When we came through in May it was still a mess - think there was a bit longer to go as it a major overhaul. The immigration was meant to be opening summer 2011 - don't know if it has.
