Gators?? I am freaking out over here!! :(

We have had a coach whip (snake) come up through the sewer, but never a gator. It was really funny watching my mom and sister (and me) scream and climb up on to of the bed in the next room. The neighbor (a firefighter) came over and killed it with a pen knife. He made a big deal of it to make my mom scream some more. Since then, though, I really haven't been afraid of snakes. Although, if I was on the pot, and that thing came up, I think I would have been scarred for life.:scared1:

Oh LORD....I think I'm just gonna hold it in.:rolleyes1

I have been freaked out thinking of that before, but never thought it was actually possible!!!!!!!! I will forever be checking the toilets before I set my tushy down on one now! Flush first, then sit!:rotfl:

kInd of gives new meaning to the phrase "pain in the a**" :scared:

I use to imagine a skunk, raccoon, or snake waiting in the bottom of the outhouse at the cottage!! I was always so scared that something would come up and bite my a$$, never happened, but it always freaked the heck out me :)

There IS something very vulnerable about that bare butt, isn't there?!:lmao:

Over the last 25 years, we have spent close to 300 days at FW and I have never seen a gator and I used to fish all the time early in the A.M. just before sunrise. There used to be a lot of armadillos, but since the clearing of the brush they are almost gone. Also, never seen a snake anywhere. I've seen peacocks and turkeys, but no otters either :rotfl2: .

Maybe all the armadillos went over to the Lodge. I saw quite a few last year..(safely from my balcony, thank you)...on the walking path that goes past the villas to FW. Also...we've seen snakes many times in and near the boat docks. Not to mention the one right at the WL pool...right next to it, in the rockscaped sceenary. You should have seen that poor pool staff trying to corner it. They were freaking out. No animal control...just the poor pool staff trying to get that sucker in a pillow case!:rotfl:

We just returned from the Fort today... stayed in the best site on the property.. backed up to the pond by the 300 loop and lo and behold there was a gator in there... about a 3 footer. First time I had ever seen a gator at Disney... Dh was willing to take care of it for them.. but I told him this was not a hunting trip!!!

BTW, what exactly do armadillos look like? I can now stop obsessing about gators and start about the apparently very ugly armadillo...heehee :) I love all animals, but some are better looking at behind glass or bars, some have faces only there mother could love. Speaking of ugly animals, have you ever seen a naked mole rat?? Those things are just nasty looking!! Ewww :(

I think an Armadillo looks kinda like a possum with armour plating. :lmao:

If I tell you.. I will have to kill you....LOL... it is by far the best site if you have children!!!
Heehee, I feel like Tony Soprano,,, if u have to kill me first,,,,fogedaboutit!! :lmao:
I do have kids,, and I was hoping to get into the 300 loop on October because of it being closest to a CS, park, and buses. Do you recommend that loop or what others do you like?
