Gator found last Friday under car in GF parking lot !

Too funny! GOOO GATORS beat the VOLS!

We had a slightly larger Gator than that wander into our garage last year.

When we were at the Poly in '05, we found a HUGE dead tarantula washed up on the beach. My mom let the groundkeeper know and even he wouldn't pick it up! He went to get some apparatus that reserved for things like this. He said they weren't indiginous (sp? why, oh why doesn't DIS have spellcheck??) but that they do live in Florida b/c of the ideal weather. When I got home and went to our local Aquarium, (that happens to have tarantulas- random) I found out that it was a "bird-eating" tarantula. Yeah, it was that big.
Makes ya rethink first floor accomodations, huh??:scared:

That is DIGUSTING!!! I thought my arachnaphobiac self were safe from tarantulas in Florida!! :scared:

We saw a snake at AK last year and it definitely wasnt a permanent resident of the park. Id say it was only about a foot long, but it still creeped me out.

Awwwwwwwwwww he's so cute, I want one!!

We'd call him Lloyd and raise him in the bathtub.

Why oh why did you have to tell me this! I am seriously considering cancelling my trip now!

We just saw a baby gator everyday in the water near the All Star Sports(near that Celebrity Hall) on our recent trip 2 weeks ago. He was just swimming there every day with his head out of the water. People and workers were always over there looking at him. I don't know where his mama was?
Hopefully not too nearby.......

We did the Sammy Duvall watersports on our trip in August. The kids were allowed to jump off the boat and swim around in Bay Lake ( with life vests on).
It was so much fun that we are thinking of doing the Platinum Package in April. Does anyone have any:scared1: insight to the water in Bay Lake and its inhabitants?

we kept an eye out, coming and going from the park we had to walk by the pond to get to our room and this was our view from balcony, they were there about 2 x's /day, sometimes a worker came out but most of the time noone was surprised, in the first pix you could see a huge turtle swimming alongside..

Saw a gator in the pond along the walkway between the Shades of green and the Poly this past May. It was about 4 ft. I got some good photos and it made my week.

First of all, as soon as I got a glimpse of it, I would probably thought it was a huge snake and have taken off running and screaming my head off like an idiot:scared1: Second, yeah, I can imagine seeing one in the water somewhere as long as it isn't in the pool, but under my car would definately take me by surprise. $10 a day for valet sounds pretty good about right now!

OMG That is so cool!!!! I wanted to see an aligator the whole time I was there!! Now I do NOT want to see an snakes!!

I have the creepies just thinking about this. I would have run while DH would have poked at it.

There has been a gator there for a long time. He is not always visible when walking by. We have video of a gator there from '97. I wonder if the same one is there now?

I have done that and was under the impression that swimming is strictly forbidden. There certainly may be alligators in Bay Lake.

Question...are there gators in the water at SSR (between Congress Park & DTD)? I have never seen one, but I am curious. There certainly were alot of ducks around the area when we there in December and would walk to DTD.

Thanks!

There are gators in pretty much every body of water in Florida.
