Hello all!

We are planning a trip to Gatlinburg this October and wondered if anyone knows anything about the Adventure Bound campground? www.abgatlinburg.com

It looks nice, but I was reading the through some old forums, and this resort was never mentioned... if anyone has any input that would be great! We have 3 children: 9, 8 and 5 so we are trying to do something that will please all of us. A mix of the Smokey Mountain nature and some fun "kid" activites too!

Thanks!

We stayed at Twin Creeks several months ago. We would recommend it as well. Great location and super staff.

We've never camped in Gatlinburg but at River's Edge in Pigeon Forge (it's the last thing in Pigeon Forge and right on the river. We've also camped at Riverside and River Plantation but I don't recommend either of those.

We have not stayed here but it gets very good reviews on RV Park Reviews and we will book on our next trip there.

you will be extremely pleased with smoky bear campgrounds. It is about 6 miles outside of Gatlinburg but well worth the extra drive. We stay there everytime we head to the smokeys. This will be the first year in 6 years that we have not gone due to work restraints. The sites are pretty large, there are a few concreate pull throughs and you really feel like your in the smokeys not just in a field with RV's in the pasture. Barry and Chong are good people who own it and take a lot of pride in the entire place.

We have stayed at the KOA in Townsend in the summer time and loved it. You could tube down the river just by stepping off your campsite. Not all sites are waterfront though, but we loved the one we were on. It is a little pricey and might not be the best place in the fall of the year but you can check out their website and get a good idea.

We go to Gatlinburg/Pigeon Forge every Spring Break. We rent a cabin through Patriot Getaways, and have always been happy. Have a great time!!! :goodvibes

Thank you all for your suggestions! That will give me a place to start. I think we are leaning toward the Smokybear Campground...it looks so woodsy! :)

We go there every summer(leaving tomorrow actually) it is a very nice campground, but not close to Gaitlinburg/Pigeon Forge area. It's about a 30 min drive to PF, but we go there because it is quiet and not at all congested. Tubing on the Little River is fun and you are right at the entrance to the national park. Trail rides are also near by, but I have not tried them yet, thinking about it for Saturday. BTW it is beautiful in the fall, all the wonderful colors in the trees:).
