Gate checking pushchair

Just wanted to check as I have heard a couple of different things.

If I gate check one of my pushchairs it will be waiting for us when we get off the plane? If it comes back to us at baggage reclaim I won't bother gate checking it as I only want it for my youngest if we have a long wait at immigration.

Yes we even asked as we have twins and wanted it at the gate when we landed but ooe all at reclaim :-( and we have had cases before buggy one time too, even worse

same here , i found we always had the cases before the pram , no idea why as when you leave them at the boarding plane area im guessing they are last on so no idea why they are not first out ??

That must be a nightmare dealing with tired children and having to get the cases. Hadn't even thought of that. Luckily we have 5 adults and only 2 children in our party so we should be able to manage. Thanks for your replies everyone. Have finished my last shift at work now. I am now V V excited!!

In all my trips with someone in a pushchair we have had those first. Though one time we asked as we couldn't see them and they had set them up around the corner (not next to our reclaim belt).

I imagine it would be pretty chaotic with people trying to collect a pushchair as they got off the plane so i can see why they do it.

Sorry to jump in but do they give you a bag to keep the pushchair in while in transit? I just am nervous about losing any parts off of it!

They do give you a clear plastic bag that you can put the pushchair in. Though the one I had was for an umbrella style fold one so not sure if they do a different one that would fit a city mini.
