We're leaving in two weeks with DS5 and DD3...I purchased the GogoKidz traveler last year, and love it, but I remember that the recommendation was to remove it from the carseat before checking it. Last year we took the carseat on the plane, but this year I'm planning on gate checking the carseat, and I've been debating on whether or not to leave the GogoKidz on and put the seat in a bag to gate-check, or whether I should take the attachement off first, gate check the seat and take the GogoKidz on the plane with me.

We've done a lot of travelling, so taking it off doesn't really bother me, but my husband doesn't travel so well, and little things get him flustered so I'm trying to minimize any issues that may come up....Has anybody ever left the GogoKidz on to gate check?

:confused3

If you don't have a bag that the seat would go into, I would remove anything extraneous from the seat. I have lost attached things from strollers before.

I would be petrified that the seat would be lost or damaged under the plane, so I would just use the seat on the plane.
