I was wondering if there is a charge to gate check an umbrella stroller when flying with Delta? I was reading through their baggage policy on their website and all I could find was a stroller was considered a "special item" and a charge (if any) would be determined at the airport. It did not mention specifically gate checking though. Anyone gate checked lately?

Thanks! :)

Unless they've changed things recently, Delta does not charge for gate checking strollers.

I would not put it past them in the future. But as of right now, they won't charge you for gate check of a stroller.

I think I've read every little thing on Delta's sight because I've never flown before and from what I understand you can gate check a stroller and car seat for free.
