I'm looking on getting a BabyTrend Sit and Stand stroller for my 3 year old and 8 month old. We do a lot of traveling and my double jogger (BOB) is waaaay too big to gate check at the airport.

Has anyone had this experience? Did you check it in as baggage or take it to he gate?

I just had a regular stroller (no sit & stand) and checked it at the gate with no problem at all. Also used it for an umbrella stroller, too. Honestly, with the size of terminals and the amount of time you have to get to your gate, the fastest way is WITH the stroller so you'd be crazy not to.

Same here. Exact same stroller, gate checked at Southwest back in June and worked like a charm. We definitely needed it to get to the gate!!;)

We'll be leaving in 10 days, and I plan on gate checking this exact stroller with southwest- it compacts pretty well.

We gate checked our Sit and Stand on Airtran in June with no problems. Actually the hardest thing was getting it up on the conveyor belt for security. Even that was not a big deal.:goodvibes
