Gas

Wow, that really sucks that it's spreading. Yesterday I thought it was just our area or something? Everyone I talked to elsewhere didn't know what I was talking about.

I live in central Florida. As I went to go get gas at my usual spot, they had no gas. Ok go down the rode to 7-11 wait in front of this guy to put 50 gallons of gas in his truck. Now as he is filling up, 7-11 runs out of gas. UUGG!! It took me three spots to finally get gas. Gosh they act as if the hurricane came through Florida.

just got gas here in Asheville the price is now 4.99 in the cheaper stations and over 5.00 in some of the majors.I passed several stations that were out of gas completely.

Yes, the station by me ran out of reg unleaded yesterday and they said when they run out of what is left, that is it for them for a while. They are not set to get any trucks and do not know when they will. While our gas did not go up $1.00 a gallon, it just is not getting delivered down this far south I guess... and it seems to happen every major hurricane that hits the states... no matter where it hits.

My usual station had gone up twice in a week, so I filled up Monday at $3.48 on my way to the airport. The two stations across the street were already $3.63.

DH called me yesterday to make sure I had gas as there had been runs on all the stations and many were running out of gas and closing. Saw two stations at $3.99 and one at $4.29 on my way back from the airport. All had huge lines. My usual station was roped off.

Today we went out and saw prices from $4.99 to $5.09. I cancelled most of our errands. The news is saying even some of the distributors are out and won't get any more for a few days.

Ocala,FLA want to talk about price gouging..Yesterday $3.56..

Today,one gas station was $5.02..

Come on.Only 20 percent of the refind oil comes from Texas:confused3

Price gouging is what it is..

They bought this fuel at a good price,so in thier eyes lets jack it up to make profits:sad2:

Allwright Charlie Crist were do you stand now on this!!!!!!!!!!!!

Allwright Charlie Crist were do you stand now on this!!!!!!!!!!!!
I saw on CNN today that Crist is threatening legal actions against those retailers who jack the price up to make money. Take it for what it's worth. :rolleyes1

Donald...we had this happen here too. I am in Raleigh, NC and Friday morning the gas was $3.49 and Friday afternoon it was $4.69. That is ridiculous. Thank goodness I work one mile from home.

Oh we will, camera and all!!!.I'm on a mission now!!!

Like I stated ,they bought that gas at a good price, now a $1 more a gallon is straight profit for them....

Gas went up .19 yesterday WHILE my DF was filling the tank. Talk about good timing...he got the lower price. This is ridiculous! It's the same gas they had in their big tanks earlier, and they didn't pay higher prices for it!

It's a wonder anyone can even afford to take vacations at all with the way prices of everything has gone up!

Our gas went from 3.53 to 3.55 when we filled up, however last I saw it was around 3.61 ... some stations are 3.85+ though. One was out of gas, one had limits. If you fill up on 192, come closer to 27 and it seems to be cheaper.

Also, a news station said they may not be out of gas because of shortages, but because they refuse to pay the high prices of wholesale gas currently.

Still in the $3.47 range up here in SE PA, I'm sure we'll see the price surge soon, as they use the hurricane in Texas as an excuse to jack up the prices throughout the whole country.

I filled up today at the Mobil station just down from my house. They were out of the middle grade that I usually buy so I had to get premium. They were selling it at $3.759 per gallon...not too bad but bad enough. :rolleyes1

I don't get it. Oil is down to under $100/barrel, yet prices are skyrocketing. :confused3 There is fuel, but scare tactics are driving people/gas stations to extreme measures.

Good thing I have enough gas for 2-3 days...:rolleyes1 :worship:

We found one small local station today at $4.09 and filled up the van, even though we still had half a tank. We were about 30 miles from home. Everybody else between us and them was at in the $4.80s or above. I saw one with $4.49 on the sign but they were out of gas.

Saw Bush on television twice over the weekend talking about price gouging. I hope there is some action, but I won't hold my breathe. I agree with the lady who said she'll be sure to remember who was gouging in the future and take her business elsewhere. I hope all of us will do the same.

Yeah, we were paying 3.65 pre-storm but its about 3.71 right now for the midgrade from where we go.
