Gas station $2 tourist tax

I saw this while there last month and forgot to post about it.
Shell Vineland (Near Premium Outlet) is charging $5.59/gal for regular gas, about $2/gal more than the average price in the area. They only have a very small sign outside so easily missed.
Full story here on OS, most of us knew about the ones near OIA did this but check price at all stations before filling up.

i found that the stations inside WDW had lower prices than the ones i saw outside of WDW.
i obviously didn't see all the stations there are, but of the ones i paid attention to, that was the case..

I either use the Hess stations within WDW or Racetrac on Hwy 192, usually around the cheapest in the area.

The Shell station on Vineland Ave. showing as the most expensive at $5.89, cheapest the 3 Hess stations in WDW at $3.48
For a 15 gallon tank Hess would cost $52.20, the Shell station $88.35. Quite a difference.

yes - Hess - i use the one that's right across from the entrance to the boardwalk inn..

I always make Matt wait for an ice drink in the parks, I won't pay Disney prices, Hess or RaceTrac do them twice the size for half the cost(or less) of Disney.

This station was discussed on here a few weeks ago, just after we got back from our holiday. I nearly got caught there, luckily I checked the price on the pump before I started to fill up. I don't understand how they are allowed to charge the prices they do.

Although we don't usually have a car Hess is recommended by the DIS Unplugged Podcast. They also say if you cannot see a price displayed then keep on driving

Yes I noticed that when we drove past a few times last week, I thought it was just mispriced at 1st but then realised they were just gonna rip you off !!!!
Hess was about $3.50 at most gas stations...
