Gas prices dropping?

I just paid $3.01 to fill up on my way to work in north Jersey!

How are prices in your area? Anyone see gas under $3?

It's been $3.48 around here for about a week, down from $3.58 the weeks before.

$3.39 here today, down from $3.55, and I still have half a tank!

We live in one of the most expensive states for gas...still hovering around $3.85 or so at most places unless you have a gas discount (Safeway gas reward, Costco, etc). If you do have some sort of discount though, you can get it for about $3.60 at the lowest.

it's $3.10-$3.15 here in NE alabama. i expect the price to jump 20-30 cents any day now, and the news will blame it on "turmoil overseas", as usual. when is there NOT turmoil overseas? geez. don't insult my intelligence-just gouge me and move on.

$3.60+ around here. No rhyme or reason either - big jump when "summer blend" went into effect this spring, but no drop at all now that the transition back to "winter blend" has begun.

Saw it for $2.99 on my way home yesterday. It's usually even 10 cents or so cheaper than that the next town over.

Just paid $2.96/gallon in Houston, TX. I have to fill up our Navigator tomorrow!! I have a $.60 off a gallon for our Kroger--spent a lot on groceries in August. So, it should be $2.36/gallon with the discount!!

Cash only stations are at $3.79, cash or credit stations $3.99.

Cash only stations are down from $3.85 a week ago, and up from $3.48 4 weeks ago.

I refuse to do gas price stories because whatever it is nationally, it is the opposite here in California.

Gas is $4.09 here on Central Coast California (Monterey Area)
