Does anyone have a website link I can go to that will allow me to check the mileage & budget gas money for a trip? We live in WI and may have to drive to Utah for a wedding, my dh just told me it would take us about 22 hours to drive. (so I'm thinking it must be like about 2200 miles.)

go to www.mapquest.com and put in the starting and ending addresses. It will give you a route with instructions, the driving distance, and the expected time (not including stops or delays).

I calculated mine by hand, since we have a diesel (Silverado 2500HD) and I know our approximate MPG. We are travelling to WDW from Wisconsin next year (towing a trailer), which is a 24 hour drive if we were to drive straight through (about 1500 miles by the way so if you are 22 hours away from your destination, it will be much less than 2200 miles). For our round trip, plus an additional 500 miles for travelling within Florida, we are looking at about $580 in fuel. This is how I did it:

Total miles: 3500
MPG: 12
Gallons (miles divided by MPG): 292
Est price per gallon: $2.00
Estimated price (292*$2): $581

This has always worked very well for us. The estimators I have seen never had our vehicle, and can't specify diesel. HTH!

THANKS EVERYONE I figured it out it will cost about 300.00 & my sanity (we will take our kids along & dh says no stopping at a hotel, just potty breaks!) 23 hours with a 6,4,2 y/o

Definitely a test of your sanity!

Any possibility you can leave at night or very early (3 a.m.-ish) in the morning when the little ones are still sleeping? It could help eliminate some of the travel headaches--at least a few hours!
