Garlic Mashed Potatoes?

Does anyone know if they still offer the garlic mashed potatoes for dinner at Le Cellier? My wife loves them and just wants to make sure they are still on the menu.

From what I understand they don't offer mashed potatoes at dinner.

Here's the menu Disney currently has posted. No mashed potatoes.

That is what my wife based it on also. I think she said they were still offered for lunch but were not on the dinner menu. I was just wondering if anyone had been there recently or is going soon and could get an answer for us.

You can get cream cheese mashed potatoes for lunch. All ears has the menu updated from 5/12.

Thats them "creme cheese mashed potatoes" not garlic mashed potatoes. I see they are still on the lunch menu but my wife wants them for dinner? Will they be available?

Sorry no, not at dinner. Not sure if someone else had a different experience recently where they requested it at dinner and got them. But as far as I know, you cant get them at dinner.

Back in October the answer was no. There was a thread with someone asking if they could get the cream cheese mashed potatoes that were only served at lunch during dinner and a poster reported being told no.

As the PP said, that's been the consistent answer at LC. If an items is only on the lunch menu, than it has not been available upon request at dinner.

We were there for Lunch on Tuesday May 29th 2012...

I had the Mushroom Filet and was able to substitute the Cream Cheese Mashed potatoes for the risotto... (as I did for Dinner in May 2010).

DH had the NY Strip and it came with the Cream Cheese Mashed Potatoes...

They are just THAT delicious !

I've made them myself now... LOL.....

You can still sub the Cream Cheese Mashed Potatoes for the risotto at lunch because both are offered on the lunch menu. However, the OP is going for dinner and won't be able to sub/order the Cream Cheese Mashed Potatoes because they aren't on the dinner menu. Since becoming a signature restaurant for dinner in 2011, they no longer let people order lunch items at dinner.

Thanks everyone for the responses. Sorry for the confusion, I am after the cream cheese mashed potatoes, I just called them the wrong name. Looks like we will be keeping our lunch ressie for 4 and looking for something else for 2 people in our party, because my wife won't take a dinner ADR for 6 without those potatoes.

Just show up with the six and they might seat everybody - but do have an alternative for the 2 party members if they don't.

I didn't even know that was an option, I thought you could only get as many as you had on the ADR.

We had two friends join our trip about two months after we had made our plans and we got everything else straightened out easily with the ADR's except Le Cellier because it is so popular. Do you think this might really work?

The best you can do is hope. No one can say for sure "yes" or "no". In general LC is very popular and it's hard to get and ADR there. Sometimes they may be able to accommodate two more people, other times not. As TDC Nala said, you can show up with six and ask if they can make the adjustment, just have something planned if they say "no".

Maybe I just got lucky, but I was able to sub the cream-cheese potatoes for the risotto (at dinner) recently.
