Is this worth it? Im going down to WDW in May with my older sister and thought this would be fun girl time. It looks expensive so I didnt want to take part in it if it wasnt up to par. It looks very posh from the few pictures I saw.princess:

It is wotrh it imo. My family had a great time and the food is very good. It is a great experience.

I did the afternoon tea with some girlfirends and we loved it. We all got the the Buckingham Palace and thought it was a really good value and very tasty. I definately recommend going....:goodvibes

I did it with my mom and aunt in November while my brother, dad and uncle went and played mini-golf. It was a great girl-time :lovestruc and I would definitely do it again.

DH and I did this last year and we loved it, great way to wind down! We came straight from the park in tees and shorts and we were not under dressed at all

It's one of the best experiences at WDW. Don't miss it.

As far as the expense goes, you don't have to order one of the set teas. You can order a la carte, and just get tea and some pastries - whatever you'd like.

Can anyone post pictures of the meal? $25 seems like a lot of a little sandwhich.

It's not a set price meal for $25; there are a variety of offerings:

Garden View Lounge Afternoon Tea

The $25 Grand Tea is the most expensive, and includes wine, sandwiches, scones, tarts, pastries, etc. There are many less expensive options, and you can order items a la carte.

DH and I loved it! We had a great relaxing break from the parks....good food, awesome tea and comfy seats!

I thought it was great, I wouldn't call it "posh." It had a nice feeling without being pretentious. I have a review in my dining review, the link is in my sig.

Love it....been twice. Once with DH, once with best friend.
Going again the end of May with DD and DDIL.
It doesn't have to be expensive. Last time friend and I just got tea and scones....so yummy. Great atmosphere.
We were there on a birthday trip, so we even got cupcakes, roses and birthday tiaras. It was one of the highlights of our trip.

If I order a la carte, do you get enough? I am bringing a boy and the response has been "Im not going and eating cucumber sandwhiches for $9". Thats why I was asking for any pictures you guys may have.

My DH and I did this on our last trip, and it was really worth it. I am not a big tea drinker, but I really LOVED the tea, the food, and the experience. Surprisingly, my DH really enjoyed it as well. He got soda instead of tea and ate everything, including the sandwiches. Even though he did not particularly like all of them. But, the scones and tarts and desserts were excellent. I am def doing this again on our December trip with my Mom as well.

I was just reading the latest 'Celebrations' magazine, and there was an article about the Garden View Tea Room. I don't know how I missed this gem. It sounds wonderful, and I'm putting it on my to do list for either our October trip or (more likely) our January trip. :tink:
