We have a ressie for Garden View Tea in December for a group of 8 - 4 adults and 4 kids (8,8,5,& a 5 birthday girl). We will be taking the two 5 yr olds to the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique prior to the tea.

Just beginning to search for info on the experience so any tips would be appreciated.

I have read a few things and am a little worried that we may be a little "underclass" for this type of ritzy event (Upitty hostess/servers). While my little birthday girl and her bff will be all done up like little princesses, I am really laid back jean short / tea shirt pooh sized gal and don't want to feel out of place. I plan on wearing a holiday type top and casual cotton/twill pants will this be appropriate?

How long should we expect this to take?

What is offered for the younger ones and what would you recommend for the girls to eat/ drink?

Is there any special touches that you can think of that might be nice to add for my little 5 year old birthday girl?

Any info would be appreaciated.

That is the menu for the tea room.
There is a childrens' tea available with chocolate milk.
They also have a princess tea option as well..it is decaf and fruity and i like to get it iced. it's specially made for that tea room...its vanilla strawberry basically.

Tea usually takes us pushing 2 hours.
If that's a bit long for your little ones to sit still, you can order ala carte items and stay a shorter time.
i love the cheese/fruit plate.
and just going in and getting a scone and some tea and a pastry is perfectly acceptable. We have gone in and gotten tea and just a pastry.

While it is very nice, the tea is great for everyone. The servers explain everything to you on the options and are very nice. Angela is one of my favorites.
So don't worry about it being too foo foo.
However, it is a quiet relaxing setting. So if your little ones would be bored and unsettled for the full long tea, i do recommend just ordering a couple single items and not doing the long full tea menu options.

Also, you can pre order a chocolate slipper through the GF. It's a cinderella slipper made of chocolate and filled with mousse..there are pics of it around here on the dis and i think there are a few variations. I think it's about $15 or so and is said to be very rich. it's only available at GF and at the castle.

have a great time...we love going to tea there.

Happy, Don't worry about being under dressed or underclass. The tea was great! I did it in 2007 with my mom, aunt, sister in law and 6 year old niece. My niece had so much fun. She had hot chocolate and said it was the best she ever had. She wanted to go back later in the trip. Have a great time!

We went with three adults and usually feisty, spirited, high energy four year old. It took around two hours, and she never got antsy, which allowed the adults to relax and be calm. With four kids, depending on how the kids in your group interact during mealtimes, you might want to make sure they have adults in between. If the girl's brother had been there, there's NO chance she would have been that well behaved.

Although the adults ordered a la carte, the Mrs Potts tea package just made send for my little cousin. The chocolate milk comes in a teapot, and our server made a production out of pouring it for her, which shocked and amazed her, especially the second time! If there had been more than one child there, it might have been ut in a bigger pot to be shared, as that's what they did with the tea for the two adults who ordered the same tea.

The adults just wore casual but nice-enough clothing...I wore a dressier but still cotton, shorts with a cute top, and it was about the same for my cousin. My aunt wore a nice pair of pants and blouse. No one in that room looked stuffy. And our server was the antithesis of snooty...he took his tea seriously, for sure, but he wasn't weird about it.

Our tea was a highlight of of our trip.
